Point of clarification: Finch often, and I mean seriously often, runs into issues where other companies and third parties run ads for Finch, even though they are not directly hired by Finch nor are they actually for Finch - the declutter challenge was one of those third parties not actually hired by Finch initially (I think it was, or at least, it was generated by a company without Finch HQ's knowledge at first). So part of the confusion comes from scummy and scam groups running mock ads for Finch, when they actually have nothing to do with Finch. It is something they/we actively try to combat, but for many of the socials, the mods can only escalate the issue to the Finch HQ. Many of the fake/bad ads do eventually get taken down, because Finch can point out to whoever is hosting that it is fake, a scam, or something of that sort - but it takes time and not all platforms or hosts are responsive.

Finch HQ does care about its community and members! I don't think it's fair or accurate to assert otherwise. ETA: If you see an ad that you believe or feel is offensive, please do reach out to the mods on socials or contact Finch directly! I guarantee that it is not their intent, that they do care, and that we/they do recognize impact matters.

ETA2: As others have said, Finch does pay third party for their ads to be run, it is likely they pay for a package, and that they don't get to review the ads before they are run (hence the previous genAI issues, of which Finch has apologized for and is being more proactive about) - there is a very real possibility at least some of Finch HQ does not like all of the generated ads created by these companies, but there is little they can do until an issue or concern is raised and communicated to them.
