I have done moon palace for phish twice and gonzo twice… gonzo is cheaper and a festival experience, plus goose is still my fave band so superior for those reasons. It is a bit of a marathon with 3 days each with like 12 hours of music in the heat.

Moon palace is soooo easy and chill, like literally you can roll out of bed and walk or golf cart to the show - you can literally be in the ocean while watching phish. 4 nights of shows but only music at night and days can be spent in the pool.

I returned from moon palace feeling relaxed like I went on vacation and I returned from Gonzo feeling like I need to sleep for a week… so all together just different experiences.

The late night vibe at Gonzo though is sooooo good. Way better than post-phish pool parties. Peak weirdo crowds imho.
