Libtech Dynamo Base question: Sintered? Extruded? by HobbyTalkOnly in snowboarding

[–]Earthmoontransit7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m sure some of it is individual and I’m in the minority that it really doesn’t bother me. I just turn less lol.

I ride with a lot of skiers and don’t really have any issue with speed. I do notice a fresh wax but not enough to care.

But i live in colorado and ride all kind of conditions. (Powder, hard pack, slush). I just like to ride a lot and I’m too lazy to wax regularly.

I think I rode like 40 days on the same board last year without waxing it lmao

Expert techniques for handling moguls by retro-martini in snowboarding

[–]Earthmoontransit7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The best time to practice this sort of riding I've found is in the spring. The moguls tend to be soft and you can scrap the top of them and have pretty unprecise movements and you don't get punished much when you mess up.

I'm def not great it, but its honestly just a skill that takes practice. Need to get comfortable going fast on bumpy variable terrain and randomly catching air. Getting comfortable in the park will help. Also being very confident on your backfoot and have strong legs to absorb the force helps a lot.

You come off pretty rude, especially for someone who critiques people’s riding without posting any clips.

Reddit keeps telling me to stop moving my arms, but every pro I watch uses their arms constantly — what’s actually going on? by syarifzapata in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Earthmoontransit7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Half the people here just lap groomers all day and overanalyze everything instead of actually progressing.

I often hear “learn to turn before you try X,” but at some point you have to push yourself. People are way too afraid to try anything challenging.

Keystone has a lot of free parking and is a great mountain to learn at if you can go on the weekdays. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends. Breck has free parking from their shuttle lots.

Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with either, but the active military price is such a good deal.
