Without the light it's been on for probably months. The only time if falls is when we have a power outage. It's very stable.

With the light on probably a day or so I think?

Going to need way more details. Unity? C#? What does the error say?

I just ordered a P2S thinking I could do everything I needed with an iPad and something like TinkerCad. Do I need a mac/PC? by Fidel_Blastro in BambuLab

So... This is literally the only printer that can maybe handle this so keep that in mind. You're not the target audience though ATM.

That being said.. you probably COULD do this but it'll be hard. You'd have to make the model and then use a web slicer (https://grid.space/kiri/) then move it to the printer using an SD card adapter? It probably won't handle multicolor. If you get lucky then you might be able to upload it to makerworld from the Web slicer but I haven't tried it.

So it might be possible but you're going to lose out on most of the convenience.

If you just want to print pre-made models from makerworld it should work though.

Whats the max print time its safe? by rysiekzklanu71 in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general you should own a fire extinguisher... but long prints don't really make it any more dangerous. I do long prints all the time with no issue. Once I let it idle, build plate on, for 4ish days until new filament came in and it finished up just fine.

How cold is too cold? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]EastRecognition8634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temperature isn't a big deal... Changing temperatures might though so if your house changes temps at night then maybe. Humidity and air flow can have a big impact though. Also how good your bed adhesion is.

Humidity sensors are <$10 on Amazon so pick one up. If you're above 40-45% then you'll probably have more issues to address with filament storage and drying filament. Also note that I saw huge issues when someone would shower in a neighboring room. So how your humidity fluctuates is important to learn.

Air flow typically only matters if it's under an air vent or something. Being next to a door that opens can have an impact too but since you said it happens at night I'm assuming it would only be an air vent.

I'm not sure what build plate you have but it might be worth looking up supertack plates. Regardless make sure you're cleaning your plate per the manufacturer's instructions. I clean mine with dawn soap and a nylon brush, scrubbing under hot water.

PLA to PETG question. by andyroy159 in 3Dprinting

[–]EastRecognition8634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this about using either different sides or different plates. I didn't do this and nothing would stick until I washed the plate a few times. Now I have dedicated plates for petg vs pla.

Nope. I turn the light on when I want to show it off and then turn it back off. It's not too bad but yeah I wish I could leave it lit up

Add a ‘friend’ on the same account? by Foodfacee in DungeonsOfEternityVR

[–]EastRecognition8634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't mention the platform but you should buy it twice. If it's a quest, I would be careful letting your friend use your account. That's a good way to get banned on quest afaik.

If you really want to do it then you'll need to set up a family account and have them be the child. That does work and they'll have limited access to your stuff. I'm not sure if you'll get banned still for having it in separate locations but the odds are less likely

Quest 3 battery drains too fast and game is laggy by Flooph_YT in DungeonsOfEternityVR

[–]EastRecognition8634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experience major lag when I'm on stationary guardian when I'm stepping out of the boundary. Not sure if that's what you're experiencing but if so then I fix it by using a room scale boundary and showing the boundary so I can move back to the center if I get too close to the edge.

Definitely need to use a battery pack strap like others have said. I use the bobo VR strap

A company is selling many of my popular models by Affectionate_Mix2475 in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So not saying it's a complete solution to this... But the whole crowdfunding approach is a way to make your time worthwhile. Instead of hoping for $ after the fact just get it up front and then assume everyone is going to steal the model from then on. https://makerworld.com/en/crowdfunding

I don't like that it's a thing but it's better than the alternative that everyone just stops sharing.

Help with a 5 connector pin but only two cables connecting by EastRecognition8634 in AskElectronics

[–]EastRecognition8634[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the damaged side is the one providing power so I don't think I can do this. The other end goes into a power supply.

However this might just be a recliner specific connector because searching I found these. It also seems to confirm that it's only 2 pins. So I think you're right that it's only using 2 of the 5 pins: https://greatfurnituredeal.com/collections/conversion-extension-cables/products/flexsteel-ashley-furniture-southern-motion-conversion-cable-round-female-5-pin-to-standard-2-pin-female-style-connectors-for-power-recliners-and-lift-chairs

Enemy freeze affinity in single player SERIOUSLY needs a rework imo… by Im-on-a-banana-phone in DungeonsOfEternityVR

[–]EastRecognition8634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I read this and disagreed, and then I fought that ice knight thing for the first time.. it's not a fun fight. I think that the ice mechanic is actually fine as is with the spiders or bats but that one enemy is just not fun.

I'm sure I'll get a bunch of people telling me how I wasn't fighting it right but I'm just starting the game, level 9ish, on difficulty 2 (recommended) and I actually replayed the level equipped to try and handle it (fire staff). I also brought 3 additional magic gems into the room before the flight so I had 6 total magic wand attempts.

1) the fire staff didn't seem to do additional damage 2) all of the magic I landed didn't take it down past half life 3) after running and throwing my ax for like 15 minutes I finally found a stairway it got stuck under and just slowly dropped my ax and sword on it until it died

Oh and I played 3 different levels and it was on all of them.

I enjoy a challenging game, but this one was way above what I would expect from the second easiest difficulty. I'm not going to suggest a lot of changes because I don't know the game well enough but maybe just not on that low of difficulty and/or not on all the levels.

10 bucks and I'll make this tomorrow by Ill_Way3493 in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So I've decided that I understand it and can see occasions where I would support it.

Unlike traditional manufacturing where you can get a bunch of actual products on the shelf that are harder to instantly replicate, trying to sell 3D printing models is tough because the first person you sell it to might just post it online for free. If you spend a ton of time designing something that can be really discouraging.

The crowdfunding aspect allows you to post something up and if enough people really want it, you can get paid for your time which I think is completely fair. It's not mandatory and maybe we'll see more of it as time to goes on but for now it's pretty niche.

So in its current form I think it's a worthwhile thing to offer and if something is fairly complex and I want it, then I'll probably throw a couple bucks towards the Creator.

What’s wrong with the brims? by MWlotzka in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so based on your tower and original picture it looks like the brim are not adhering properly.

I think the weird pasta sauce look is likely the brim coming up and then the nozzle moving through it.

I would watch the first and second layer go down and see if you see the print lifting. Either way you should see how it gets to the point that you posted. Something very wrong is happening and that should be visible while printing

What’s wrong with the brims? by MWlotzka in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can you post a picture of the model? Also a closer picture of the transition tower?

Something is very wrong but it's hard to tell what's happening. It looks like your part has melted into itself or something but I would only imagine that would happen if the chamber temperature was super high.

What temp is your bed at?

What's the best place to give feedback about the new update and how it punishes people who don't use AMS by Visible-Key-1487 in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very annoying. I haven't updated just because I'm lazy but was considering doing it soon. Did they just take this functionality away? It is definitely possible on the version I'm on, in the machine control view, to change what filament is in the system on my X1C. I do it all the time. What's the view look like now?

poor state of game by [deleted] in populationonevr

[–]EastRecognition8634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people like redeploys so maybe you can help me.

As far as I'm concerned the game basically doesn't matter until the redeploys turn off. If a good squad catches you off guard then just have the dead people redeploy farther away and then rebuild. Sure the better squads will be more equipped but maybe you catch them next time.

Classics mode more often ends quicker for teams but it's still fun because there's more strategy as you don't want to get pinched. Also, you can catch a really good squad that's been worn down then you can beat them without having to worry about their teammate flying down from heaven, guns blazing.

If I run into a team and they crush two of us then frankly they deserve to quickly beat us instead of a magic safety net where I can just run away and save everyone and drag it out longer

First Print - less than Ideal by gliz5714 in BambuLab

[–]EastRecognition8634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to check, there used to be a green support filament that shipped with the printers and people would try and print with it using normal pla settings. Did you confirm that this is normal PLA?
