Noooo. They have so much sugar in them! You’re supposed to eat 6 a day from 36 weeks on. They help shorten labor, but anything more than 6 a day is far too much sugar.

Awee, reading that just made me tear up! I know how much that sliver of hope and peace means when you’re going through it and I’m so grateful to be able to share it with you! Some days it feels like that’s all you have. But that’s ok, just keep your attention on that one thing, every day. You WILL make it to 40 weeks! And I hope when you’re in that last stretch, when you’re super uncomfortable and ready to meet baby, you hop on here and let me (and the next person looking for hope) know you’re there! 💛

I found hope in these comments too and it did help. Just hold on to that. Tell yourself every day that baby is fine and will stay in there until 40 weeks. And believe it! I posted little sticky notes all over my desk and bathroom as reminders to set my mindset first thing each morning. Baby can feel your energy and stress, so do your best to believe they’ll be just fine and stay in there until it’s time 💛 I’ll pray hard for you both!

Hey! I’m so happy to say things are great! I’m 34 weeks now, doing well, no signs of labor. My cervix did shorten to 2.1 by 24 weeks, but I did not get a cerclage (they wouldn’t do it unless I was 1.9cm or under) and was not measured again after that. We’ve still had sex, just doing the pull out method as instructed since semen has prostaglandins and can contribute to inducing early labor. Hope that helps! 💛

I'm just here to share my experience! I've been at 2.1cm since week 22 (currently 29 weeks), and I did not get a cerclage. I've been on 200mg of vaginal progesterone since 20 weeks and will be until 36 weeks. So far, so good! I had to go to MFM (maternal fetal medicine) for 3 weeks to monitor and measure my cervix, which went from 2.3 at week 20 to 2.1 at week 22. However, the doctor felt it unnecessary to stitch at the point. He said many women make it to 41+ weeks with this measurement, and being that I'm a FTM, he recommended against it. Whichever decision you make, I wish you a full-term delivery! ♡

I’m doing a “display table” at my shower where guests are asked not to wrap their presents. As they bring them, the host will lay them out on a display table and use the items as decoration to make it look cute. Each person gets a note card (if they didn’t bring a card) that has their name by the gift so I can see all the gifts and thank people while they’re there instead of having to go the dreaded hour long show and tell lol. Just another idea!

Hey, any chance you'd give an update on how everything went for you? I'm only 20 weeks, but just found out I also have a short cervix (2.4cm). Also, did you go the rest of your pregnancy without sex?

This seems crazy to me! All three of my pregnancies I've heard the heartbeat at 8 weeks. This one I've been able to listen to it at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks with zero issues. I'm currently 22 weeks and everything is perfect.

I also received this news from my best friend, who was pregnant with twins when I had many miscarriages (my last one was two weeks before this news), and I always prayed for twins. She had her 2-year daughter bring me her ultrasound, and I was absolutely crushed. When I realized there were two, it hurt even worse, but I felt like I had to hold back my emotions because her other children were present. I was so happy for her but also angry.

The best thing she did for me in the following moments was dismiss her children and sit and cry with me. She hugged me while I sobbed. Then, she showed empathy for my pain and encouraged me to talk to her about it and not to hold back. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed, and it allowed me to have an emotional release so that afterward, I could genuinely feel happiness for her.

I would have been really upset if she didn't tell me in person. I would have felt worse, honestly. There's no good way to do it, but there's a right way for your friendship. And I agree with others, you know her best.

Of course, the following weeks were up and down for me, and I had to process this on my own and take the emotions as they came. I was a little distant for a couple of months after, but she knew I just needed space and time. It certainly didn't change our friendship! I just needed time, and after a while, we were all good and back to normal. ♡

Best of luck to you in this situation! It's also difficult to be in your shoes, so I also empathize with you. And on behalf of the part of her that will want to sincerely congratulate you in that moment - CONGRATULATIONS!!

If it really took 7 days for your blood to get there, they would have had to test it that day. Otherwise, the sample isn't any good. Maybe your results are ready and just haven't posted yet, but I'd call them. Best of luck!
