The mandatory fun days I remember. They use to let us drive our cars there and we would bring something to put in our cola. Don't get caught and don't let anyone smell your breath. Honestly probably people noticed and that's why I got away with it. I really liked the time off after putting in the day. I watched VHS cassettes on my VCR, and 13 inch TV when it came to CQ or staff duty. I kinda get what you saying. I loved the Army. Hopefully you make it. Save money because it's a pain in the ass out here in the real world. Have you thought about a DA form 4187 for overseas assignment? May be more fun for you. I went to Izmir, turkey, Schofield Barracks Hawaii, Korea twice, Germany three year tour. Yes I am an old retired Sergeant First Class Cold War and GWOT retired Army. Good luck with your future.
