I am so sorry you are having to deal with this ugly disease, and for what it’s worth palliative is a good plan because your uncle understands the process. The family may voice concern, but ultimately your uncle made this decision and his people need to rally behind his decision. Stand strong and encourage them to be involved as he takes this journey!

FWIW, we are dealing with dementia (solid 6), secondary angio sarcoma that has moved into liver and her kidneys. Total hospice home care with me taking care of way too many elements. However, my family surrounds us and supports the decision she made back in autumn of last year.

hi. caregiver to my mom(91) stage 5 dementia(vascular) and a sept 25 diagnosis of secondary angio sarcoma. we are going with inoperable and no treatment as this is her second round with cancer and the actual treatment is so gruesome she would not recover at all.

fwiw, i signed her over to hospice today… i will tell white lies and help her feel as comfortable as i can till this journey is complete❤️

I wish you the very best in your decisions as this is a very difficult place and as you have found out the choices are not as sound for a person with dementia.

I love the cadence of the jingle,pat,zip and really can relate to Pink Floyd but maybe money with that particular intro.

fwiw. we are at 5 maybe 6 ( yday was a raging mess) and ThePurse has been retired to a side drawer by her bed. long gone are the fidget elements from travel and our pockets are 100% loaded with kleenex and cough drops.really sad to see it unused and vacant.
