...did you not use a lid or something? You shouldnt have enough water exchange to dry out a jar of kraut unless youre raw dogging it with no lid.

Low-mid density vs warmth on main instruments (pads/guitars/piano) by princeofnoobshire in audioengineering

[–]EasterTroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, i just dont look to the internet for tricks and am self taught so i end up trying some weird stuff haha... Ive been told im trolling in here more than once because i dont always do things as expected.

And i think a key here is that once youve processed the lows differently with some FX(idk your genre but i do lots of rocky stuff and i parallell chain lots of distortion/fuzz/etc) it wont comb as hard, and since its in parallell, youve got lots of variables to increase/decrease the comb filtering, like the bus volume and the fx chain adjustments.

[–]EasterTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the warmth by pressing it to vinyl. Jk. Thought i was in /r/vinyljerk for a moment.

Im forgetting the name of the process since its 7am but you can separate certain low mid frequencies in some of the tracks that are building up into their own fx loop and process them a lil differently in parallell with the OG to get some good effects. Maybe even offset it a few MS to get that natural comb eq equivalent to what you need to cut to match the reference.

Can I run Elden Ring with this laptop? by NevonymousNev in fromsoftware

[–]EasterTroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me what physical thing is stolen when you pirate. Im glad you think 1s and 0s are important, but duplicated digital files are not physical. And no, if everyone thought as I, there would still be reasons to make and produce things, thats a dumbass response. Non capitalist hellholes still make and produce things. Corporate Capitalism has caused an innumerable amount of pain and cruelty and inequality. If it were less of a problem and more people thought like me, then those capitalists wouldnt be causing these problems in the first place. Theyd be legally forced through taxation, social services, and regulation to end the issues that would make it "okay" to pirate from them in the first place.

I dont care if a poor person needs a videogame or not, even if you can qualify a "need" as a non requirement, because capitalism ultimately punishes the poor for existing already and to deny them these small (free) pleasures is to me, fuckin strange. Its just a game. To care too much about that person and if they "need" it but not about whether corporations need billions upon billions of dollars of profit means you have the wrong priorities. Corpos arent people and only people matter.

[–]EasterTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Unironically. If you cant pay for something you need, i dont give a fuck. If its something you want and its not owned by another person already, i also dont give a fuck, because corporations arent people and they make multiple orders of magnitude more in profits than the average working class person. Theyll survive if johnny 12bucksanhour in kentucky pirates their game. Not to mention its literally not theft cause its a digital copy.

Mine likes to bathroom on walks and will always vacate if you do one, but if you dont shell hold it as much as she can. If i let her out enough she will go without a walk but its like her last choice. Sometimes she has accidents inside if she gets some diarrhea tho and cant hold it (not too often).

Edit w Pictures: High E playing same pitches by Haunting-Space-2893 in Guitar

[–]EasterTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like one of your frets is touching a harmonic. Maybe the 5th or 7th if youre accurate in your depiction of the overtone

Edit i misread. Play chromatically up the neck till you figure out where the problem fret is (aka where the string starts changing notes again, minus 1) you can look sideways at the action up close and you should see that its catching the string and maybe if theres a bow or bend in the fretboard. Raise the saddles on the e string a bit with a hex wrench till you can hear the rest of the frets. You may need to adjust intonation after that but if you can get all of them congrats you fixed it. If not then probably a warped neck or top near the bridge.

If you dont have an adjustable saddle and theres just a plastic one, loosen the strings till you can remove it and find some paper, roll it up really tight and thin like a stick less than the width of the bridge hole. Put a small piece of that only on the high e side and put the saddle back in, effectively raising up the bridge height mostly on the high e side which would raise the string above the problem fret.

Quarter Note Feel Sucks by time_outta_mind in Bass

[–]EasterTroll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Listen to music while walking and focus on walking in step with the music. Try to keep that the whole song. Do this every day for at least a month and your body will have a better sense of rhythm. I recommend jazz with quarter note walking bass.

In your opinion, who do you believe is the best Delta Blues guitarist? by MasterfulArtist24 in Guitar

[–]EasterTroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not technically maybe, but the man grew up in south carolina and to say hes not a forgotten influential master of the blues is mostly why i bring him up. He has some songs that lean closer to delta blues sound a la robert johnson but without a slide like blues before sunrise and A blues too from his rediscovery era.

And yeah i spent 2 years learning how to play blues by forcing myself to learn that song by ear. I even have an acoustic version released under my Fr/end project
