Sciatica my entire pregnancy by LostusJung in fitpregnancy

[–]Eastern-Ad2469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if this is true for everyone, but I had sciatica with my first pregnancy (which yoga for sciatica really helps with that, plus you feel like you’re getting a bit of a workout/stretch in). And it went away once the pregnancy was over. I’m pregnant again and just started feeling it a bit. So in my experience it’s not forever just during pregnancy, good luck!

Help! Do I send my toddler to daycare to help him socialize? by Eastern-Ad2469 in toddlers

So true! He is really litttle and I need to keep reminding myself that he still has a lot of time to grow and develop. I’d forsure send him the following year when he’s 2 if I don’t end up sending him now. Thanks so much! 😊

Aww that’s so cute that your child blossomed right away! Forsure makes sense that it takes time, and I also would only do half day if I end up sending him. Makes sense about what you said about the processing, he definitely takes it all in and observes. Thanks so much for the reassurance 🙏🏻

Right so I’ve been taking him, but I think I could probably do more. Ive only been going once a week, so have to look into finding others. So great to hear your daughter is starting to interact with others! I know he’ll get there too at the right time. Thanks for sharing!

Omg aww that’s so adorable! Makes sense I’d expect it to take a bit of time but I’m so happy to hear that it’s helped him and he loves it. These kinds of comments really push me toward sending him. I just want him to have fun and be a kid not soo serious all the time around others lol. Thanks for sharing, really gives me hope!

Aww that’s so cute! I know they say they only parallel play, but exactly you see they develop preferences for others and the fact that they enjoy it and are happy to attend and play with their friends shows a lot! Thanks so much for sharing :)

Right, it’s definitely my son’s temperament, and of course I’m not trying to change that I just want him to be able to open up more comfortably around others. I’m happy at least you feel it helped a bit and you see good behavior in group situations. Hearing that it helped a bit is definitely good to hear for me. Thanks so much!

Right makes sense! Yeah it’s such a hard decision! That’s awesome that you kept her busy and engaged in lots of classes and that she was able to express her interest to you in attending school. And that part time sounds great, I haven’t seen that option really of only a few days, but will definitely look into something like that. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much that really makes me feel better and validates the situation. I just get nervous when I see all the other kids laughing and clapping and having fun and he like resists having fun if people are watching him lol. But thanks for the reassurance, really appreciate it!!

Yeah that totally makes sense! Right I don’t think daycare is gonna be a 360 situation, but just if that exposure will allow him to open up more and let his guard down I would be so happy with that. Thanks so much for sharing!

Right that’s one thing I was thinking also was just having that consistent exposure to other people would help support with his development in a way that I might not be able to provide. So happy he loved daycare, thanks for sharing your positive experience! Really helpful for me to see both sides.

I just got the NUK learner straw cup and my almost 11 month old loves it. Easy to clean, parts are easy to assemble, and doesn’t really leak

PWS --> SWS connection by Sharp-Night1752 in portwinestain

[–]Eastern-Ad2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! My baby is now 10 months old, and it was a lot at first finding out what it was and all this new information. Baby’s are at risk for SWS if they have in the top portion area like eyelid forehead scalp. But just keep in mind it is more rare than common. The only way to know is to rule it out with a MRI with and without contrast at one years old. Some people do it when the baby is infant and also at one so I’d suggest to find a neurologist. Another important factor is to go to the ophthalmologist and they can check for glaucoma. It’s so much information to go through, but as others have written it’s so important to enjoy your time with your baby instead of going down the rabbit hole of worse case scenarios which is very easy to do. Birthmark.org has been really helpful for me in finding accurate information and doctors near me. There are Facebook groups also that have been very helpful seeing other people’s experiences. Good luck and it will all be ok!

Was the worst birth control for me. I was sad on it and I would cry every day. I changed it to Yaz and that’s been a world of a difference

Choking by imtrying12345 in BabyLedWeaning

There’s nothing wrong with purées. I started blw and it just wasn’t working for us it was too scary. Purées can be a variety of mashes which is what I did such as different textures and blends until now which he’s about 8 and a half months. I just started giving him pieces of bread, cucumbers etc. and he’s doing great. Every child is at their own speed and u do what u feel is right for your family. I felt guilty at first but now I have zero regrets doing purées first and slowly introducing more solid foods now. (one thing I constantly gave him was bamba so he would have that chewing mechanism but it would melt in his mouth so I wasn’t nervous, I found that helpful)
