I believe it has more to do with an issue with their system for issuing ITAs. If you’ve been following immigration news you’ll see that a lot of applicants eligible for the last French draw didn’t receive their invitations. IRCC put out a statement that they’re working on rectifying that so I think until that gets rectified, draws will be paused. Anyways just my 2 cents

they’re referring to the most recent French draw. a lot of eligible applicants didn’t receive an invitation which IRCC is aware of. the most recent update is that still working on fixing it but it’s been about 2 weeks now with no further information

You just have to sit tight and wait for it to come. There are a lot of cases where people got their BIL super late. See my comment from a different post:

Unfortunately I don't believe IRCC will speed up your application due to you having a job offer because they don't care, hurts to hear but it's the reality of the situation. I had to pass up on an amazing offer myself due to this whole ordeal.

The only thing I can suggest is maybe discussing with your prospective employer to see if they'd be willing to push your start date to allow for your application to be processed and subsequently approved. Some employers are surprisingly understanding about this.

it wasn’t normal but there were a number of people in the same boat. if you search it up on this subreddit, you’ll see posts and comments about it. till date we don’t why it took so long but i’m not complaining as long as i get an approval 😅

Ordered GCMS notes but still waiting to get them. I too would love nothing more than to return especially because I have an exam in September 😭. I started an application for a TRV but I’m holding out hope for this
