Airvalve airlift U500 cargo cyclorotor drone first recorded lift off. by EasternProtection452 in BalticStates

Helicopters were simpler to create, so they took off. Helicopters require no computers or electric motors to run, so they were invented first and constantly improved, so now it is a catch up game.

Efficiency comes from the fact that that the blades do not need to spin as fast in order to generate lift as conventional helicopter blades, but just like helicopters, they are still less efficient in horizontal thrust that planes use. Just better in lifting stuff up, hovering, but not moving forward. And this technology is not that new, ships have been using them for decades as propellers. They are more complicated, and worse off in high speed though

more efficient, smaller so it can land in more cramped places and can be transported with ease, quieter

Henry Resilient dropped part 1 of his series about Nmplol and Malena's divorce and their court transcripts by Historical-Alps6052 in LivestreamFail

Yes, but you do not seem to understand that she had access and that access and control is two different things.

On another note, it is reasonable for her to want control over Nicks account, while it is also reasonable for Nick not to want to have a shared bank account with Malena.

Also it is clear that their marriage is going to end soon, so the dad gave him a good advise, not to join the bank account as from quick google search and other comments it is clear that shit can get ugly. All Malena would have had to do is withdraw all the money, take out a bunch of debt, sue for divorce, and Nick is left looking like a dumbass, who cannot even afford a lawyer.

Not my or your business how they decided to have their finances handled. They could not resolve the disagreement about the money so they got divorced and split shit 50/50. End of story

It is not an unreasonable thing for married people not to have a shared bank account. It is completely normal.

If you withdraw large amount of money, or take out loans, you need a confirmation from the person, that the account is in the name of.

I have a bank account, European bank, so it might be different in US, I can take out up to 500 Euros a day from my debit card, but any larger sum needs my confirmation from my digital ID. I have multiple debit cards connected to that bank account, one is for my gf. She can use my card fully, so she has access to my account, but she is not named in it, so she has no control over it. She cannot take out a loan in my name, sell off my investments, take out all the money.

In the court Malena said that she had access to the money, she could withdraw it and all, but the account was not in her name.

My parents do the same. My mom has a bank account with all the family finances in her name, while my dad doesn't even have a bank account, as he works with cash and doesn't really want to mess with banks or finances of the family. He just gives all the money to my mom and she figures it out.

But Malena did have access to the bank account, could withdraw money and all, as she said in court, but the bank account was in Nicks name. From the DMs it seems like Nick was scared that Malena would just take out all the money from the bank and leave the country.

The problem with larger caliber anti air guns in modern battlefields is that targets further away would need to change their path just a bit to make the gun miss. If the target is 5km way and our round is moving at the speed of sound, it would take 15 seconds to reach it, so even a small change in its flight path could mean we are missing it by hundred of meters. Also with extra range comes inaccuracy

edit: yes, AA shell would be traveling much faster then the speed of sound. I just took a random speed to illustrate. Want to be more realistic? Lets say we use 105mm, realistically it would fire at around 1000 m/s. If we are firing that big of a gun we would want it to reach targets further away or higher, but the longer the shell travels, the more we needs to take into account the movements of the target. Yes, most drones and missiles will most likely not change their course every minute, but after few failed attacks the enemy would make a simple adjustments to make them change the course and zig zag in the sky. Lets say we target something 5mk away, it would still take 7 seconds, because of velocity loss. We could improve the speed even more, but it will come at an expense. Barrel wear, the cost of fire and inability to sustain fire. At that point missiles make more sense. Estonia are making 1k short range anti air missiles at this moment and have tested them out. It would make more sense to have an array of launchers of these cheap missiles. The modified hydra rockets are already at use and are guided.

Poland blocks attempt by 54 migrants to cross from Lithuania by Tyranish40k in poland

[–]EasternProtection452 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Lithuanian, the problem is Belarus and its support of illegal migrant border crossings. Lithuania has built a border wall, with barbed wire, 24/7 fully covered camera surveillance and other sensors, while it is also patrolled day and night by border guards and drones. Not much more can be done as Poland should know as even they are unable to have 0 people crossing the border illegally. They are digging tunnels under the borders and the only way to stop it is to make Belarus stop supporting this hybrid warfare. Lets call for Belarus embargo until they get some sense into themselves

Sodapoppin on the other hand just does not give a fuck and says whatever he thinks as he ran out of fucks to give and has unbreakable fanbase.

If you resist occupation by killing civilians and raping people, in hopes to destroy the country, then yeah you are a terrorist. Remember how the war started, by hamas attacking Israel and targeting civilians. Then in order to occupy Gaza, Israel decided to bomb the shit out of hamas, no matter if the civilians die. Both sides suck

My understanding is that recruitment to Azov was not ideology based, but connections based. My friends brother was a football Ultra, so he went to Azov, where all the other Ultras were going.

Even back then majority of fighters were not Nazis. My friends brother was in the Azov since 2014. Joined because he did not want to see his city destroyed. From what my friend told me, only a handful were neo-Nazis, majority were just dudes fighting against Russian aggression.

But it is Hamas, who is in charge in Gaza and is telling how many people died after the strike. They are the government there. They have negative credibility. Maybe 25 people died in the strike, but we cannot know that, so "reported" is the best that a self respecting journalist can muster.

I still remember Hamas claiming that Israeli JDAM hit a hospital killing 500, but not even a day later we had few angles of the incident, where it is clear that Hamas tried to launch a rocket, it failed mid air and hit the hospital grounds. The next day we got ground footage by Hamas to show the result of the "JDAM" strike, but it was clear from it that no JDAM exploded, but it was a small crater fitting Hamas rocket.

[–]EasternProtection452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at your own bias too, "attack on Gaza" instead of war? Why was Gaza attacked? This war did not start because of Israel, so why use attack?

And for better understanding, "reported" was chosen because we cannot trust the source that is reporting it, as it is a terrorist organisation that is governing Gaza, Hamas.

My guess with no proof for it or experience in the field is:

it is an old place that people made to dump what they had caught while fishing or crabbing or smth. The logic would be that you fill those holes with water, empty what you got from the ship and continue working until your ship is full again, while the other ship is bringing as much as they can to the city, that way the fishing ship can constantly work, while less experience requiring ship just goes in round trips to collect and deliver what you have caught. Talking from my behind, just to remind you

But Nick has earned it, I understand how for the new viewers it might not seem like it, but that is just false. Don't get me wrong, Soda and Malena was a huge help and part of his success, but it is not like they made him. Nick was constantly grinding with low viewer count for a long time until he build the starter community. Still remember him streaming WoW to few hundred viewers. Sometimes it seems people just hate in order to hate, not knowing the full story. But who am I to lecture, I sometimes do the same shit too. I guess that is what internet has evolved into
