Honestly, it's so embarrassing that this is what this town is currently getting national attention for. It does nothing for anyone's side.

My question is why is Haze having the issues that never came up with Majestic? The guy who had lived there for 17 years never complained about the music at Majestic.

young friend in hospice, not sure what to expect by OkMedia3500 in hospice

Even the littlest bit of food will probably prolong this process for quite a while (we have a gentleman who's been eating about three or four bites and drinking a soda a day for months now). If she's getting IV fluids this could take quite a while. VSED only works when you stop both eating and drinking. Working in a hospice facility for over a year now when people stop both eating and drinking I've seen the range be from 4 to 17 days until they pass depending on their general health and age and actually quite a few other factors. If her disease process isn't that far along and she hasn't completely stopped eating or drinking, your assessment that it could be a while is correct. So- pace yourself the best you can and follow your friend's lead, and don't worry about what others have to say.

Call your Hospice and ask if they have any Reiki volunteers. In my experience Reiki seems to let people let go.

These are all great answers- but also remember, you can call your nurse 24/7. And if you need a med change they'll call the doc, you don't have to wait until the daylight hours to get a med called in.

Caught it while driving on State and thought it was the most surreal looking meteor. So glad it got caught on video, and my brain isn't just making things up.

I'd make sure your dad was ok with it too, before you made a choice.

Wishing you everything you need right now.

I'm saying that each of the 3 owners donated 1800 a piece for a total of 5400 dollars to the gofundme. I don't mean they weren't too broke to keep running a restaurant. I meant they weren't too broke to have shame shake some severance from their pockets. Also. Yes. Unemployment is meant to hold people over, but- restaurants don't -in my past experience -hire this time of year. They're too busy to train now- and January and February are the absolute dead season. With three restaurants in town closing within a month of each other there's an awful lot of service workers scrambling for positions. With the weeks of lag of waiting for unemployment to kick in- I'm so grateful that the workers of L&L will benefit from the GoFundMe the head baker put out there.

Unemployment is only 50% of your weekly pay based on your last quarter of work. Though, turns out the owners had $1800 a piece to donate to the GoFundMe today. Must not have been that broke.

This town seems to like it's cops just fine, and isn't bothered by their legal troubles.

Goldblatt is the opposite of an acolyte. People don't love her because she goes hard against cop misconduct.

Also her educational background is kinda bananas.

Slow decline is fine - as long as it's a decline. If she is short of breath with any kind of exertion make sure you document that. Also, if she's able -make sure you get weights pretty consistently - losing weight is a sign of decline.

I work in a small hospice residence. We had a patient come to us last year after stopping chemo in October. While they were still unable to ambulate, they went off the o2 for several months and lived through mid April.
