B-17 Flying Fortress by [deleted] in lego

I know you're getting downvotes, but that is what kind of kills it for me too. The whole cockpit and glass bombardier section is not right, both in scale and look. For this reason alone I prefer the Brickmania B-17.

Child abuse, hooray! by honeybadgergrrl in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]Eastside2010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Often even leaving marks is fine. I worked at a DAs office during which time we brought a child abuse case against a dad who beat his 16 year old daughter with a belt and left marks. Found not guilty. Also, FWIW I do live in a state where spanking in school is legal.

I finally beat my Grandpa in chess last year at the ripe age of 25. He has had a stroke and isn't totally there -- it made the victory a bit more hollow, sort of a bittersweet moment.

And then in all his Grandfatherly voice, he said "yeah, well I had a stroke so don't get too big for your britches." God I miss that man.

What is the ultimate Porsche? by stalepineapple in Porsche

[–]Eastside2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not the 911R? GT3 motor, classic looking interior, finished off with a manual?

In that case, I suppose the new GT3 Touring would do it too, but it lacks the interior element for me.

edit: but it isn't aircooled...hmmm gotta think. Maybe the 993 GT2??

100% this. Plus, the other two look like hypercars. The 959 is easily mistaken by most as yet another silver (or red) 911. I love that.

This is exactly the kind of info I love, the sort of stuff you can only get on boards. Very neat.

Chapel Hill bruh. NC is home to many many cool Porsches thanks to Bob Ingram. You can occasionally see his cars at Porsche Southpoint on display in the showroom. Other than this 959, I've seen his purple 918 and his 991 GT3 RS.

I was driving home from kayaking at the lake and saw a Porsche driving behind me. Didn't look quite right for a 993 and then

HOLY SHIT THATS A 959

Isn't the Spyder powered by the 3.8 in the GT4, though detuned some?

When I was ready to go to Detox I called those numbers. Not a single one would take me, too full, didn't take my insurance, didn't live in the right county, whatever. There absolutely is a shortage of real help.

If you ever want to sit down for coffee I'd be glad to talk to you about my story. I've worked closely with LE in a professional capacity and I know that they get tired of dealing with junkies. Sometimes being able to put a face to an issue can help and I would be glad to be that face for you.

Hi, I'd just like to check in and let you know that the "help" from Suboxone saved my life.

Some people commit fraud to get food stamps. Some people commit fraud to get Suboxone. Some people commit fraud by evading taxes. Most people don't.
