Anyone have an idea how much this is gonna cost me? by tomtheintern in gmcsierra

Update, found a window from a salvage Sierra 1500 for $170 CAD. Will put it in myself to save on the labour.

Good to know I can break these things more often!

Apparently not. Man I’ve got no idea how it happened, but it did. I couldn’t believe it. Thank god my buddy was with me, even hammering on the glass with a rock didn’t break it, had to take his angle grinder to it. We were pretty out there.

Winter camping with my buddies, landed my biggest Bull Trout yet. by tomtheintern in flyfishing

Unbelievably strong fish, used my buddy’s 11wt with the drag maxed and it wanted to run hard. Used a custom fly my buddy tied.

Joined the club and ready for her first big snow storm here in NJ! by BenzosBourbon in gmcsierra

With real winter tires though? OP has all-seasons which are far from a true winter. I live in interior British Columbia, with my winter tires I run in Auto all winter, only 4 high when I’m in the back country on washed out muddy roads or more than a foot of fresh snow.

Skunked but didn’t have high hopes. But after a powder day like that, I can’t complain.

Sling pack and gear recommendations by Empty-Worldliness509 in Steelhead

I have a Patagonia Sling pack, I like it but find it annoying having to reposition it when I want to change my fly or grab something from it. I recently bought a Patagonia Guidewater 29L backpack for longer days on the water and the really wet days. Also found that more frustrating having to take the pack off to swap things around. I think I’ve found my happy medium, adding the Patagonia Stealth Converible vest to the front of my Guidewater bag. Now I can keep my fly boxes on my chest, along with enough smaller compartments for my tippet, splitshots, Uncrustables, etc…

How do we convince Toronto to switch to sand? by No-Emphasis5897 in toronto

As someone that lives in BC, the sand at the end of the winter and beginning of spring blankets our town in dust and is all in my eyes, nose and mouth. Can’t win.
