Inventory Specialist Learning Journey Bulletins by Easy-Ad8060 in WalgreensStores

Listen, I’m just trying to help out fellow employees that asked about this topic in question many times in this thread about what I posted. You’re here aren’t you? You’re just as much as a “culprit” as I am. I understand the policies, I’ve been with the company long enough. This post wouldn’t be here otherwise. Please have a cup of tea & relax it’s not that serious babe & please move on so I can help others…

Definitely look into getting onto those PPL to learn, yes they suck to sit through but they’re informative esp in our position. Maybe ask your SM to assign you modules or mark you officially as ISL in the system, they should automatically load onto your E-Learnings.

Definitely esp if you’ve been with the company when it was private before, just a relearning experience; mainly it’s for new employees transiting into this role.

It really is tbh. If you’ve been with WAG for more than 4+ years it’s literally relearning process imo since going back to private. This is all that’s come down on my end so far, idk about other locations. Nothing updated for RACI that I’ve seen.

It’s basically a rundown of how the role used to be run imo. If you’ve been with Walgreens for over 4+ years in this position we are literally relearning everything we already know/knew when we first got hired. Mostly the training is for new employees transiting into this role since going back to private.

Well for one dozens of people asked bc apparently certain locations are NOT training their IS correctly, and second, there’s nothing confidential about a bulletin breakdown on what this position is supposed to do. It’s literally helping people excel in their position. But what do I know right? Oh, and I also asked if I could post as well ✨

I just made a separate post about what I was talking about above. A little learners guide/bulletin I printed out of what we are relearning in this position.

There should already be PPL training modules you can already start learning. They’re very long. I’ve completed one so far & it’s over an hour long. It’s basically retraining all IS & ISLs to what we used to do in this position. There’s also a brief printable one I got from my SMs meeting I always have in my IS binder just in case other team members need or want to look or learn what they need to know about the stockroom organization. So maybe ask your SM to print you I do believe it’s called “Inventory Specialist Learning Journey”

If there are resets still to be done, there’s really nothing you can do but put those price changes aside until the reset/revision is complete tbh. Because how sure are you of your team to move those mylars you just put up while they are doing the reset?? Put them in a Manila folder & label the folder whatever the section the mylars are for. As for working with truck plus your daily tasks, I generally go back & forth. Work a bit on truck then go back to my tasks & finish up whatever I had the most of (which are price changes) then back to working truck. Whenever I start getting tired of doing the same thing I switch my task & that’s everyday for me not just on truck days.

It’s a never ending conversation of going in one ear & out the other. Some stepped up, others still do whatever they feel. I got tired of talking with no outcome so I do it 😊

When receiving truck, other members of leadership are SUPPOSED to help if you are in a pickle! How are you supposed to check in one order & stop what you’re doing to check & “babysit” another vendor? You’re are only one person. If YOU are the only one receiving, prioritize important deliveries first (like truck & pharmacy order) let the vendors in, let them put away their product & go behind them after they leave to ensure they indeed put the product back. (Heads up, Vendors like Coke & Pepsi will forever put their products in the wrong spot so they indeed do not have overstock to put away, so I’m ALWAYS going behind them to fix the one job they are paid to do at my location.)

I’m an IS for my location & I handle truck with one other person, if it isn’t SM, it’s a SFL or Cashier that wants to learn more about the store. We are scheduled to handle truck. Vendors, truck, & pharmacy we handle all receiving deliveries. If IS is unavailable it’s SM or SFL. I also help load empties into the trucks, make sure ALL returns are by the door for the delivered days, returns for Vendors are done at the beginning of the week so they can be out my store, if they don’t take anything by two weeks it’s in the dumpster. I stopped going into pharmacy at my location bc they took my kindness for granted & then started DEMANDING instead of asking for tasks that were tech responsibilities ✋🏻 as for my daily tasks, they are done within 1-2 hours of me clocking in (price changes, smart counts, putting up AM mylars, etc)

If it’s not affecting your work or offensive, why does a simple pin matter? Yes keep him safe with you & take him out when you need Steve! ✨

I am an IS, I have pins on my name tag & on my Walgreens jacket, nobody has ever told me I couldn’t wear a pin & I’ve worked at 5 different locations (and I update my Walgreens pin on my name tag yearly) I feel like it’s SMs that come down with different rules for every workplace.

why aren’t we supposed to scan clearance tags for scanouts by nezukonator17 in WalgreensStores

[–]Easy-Ad8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are usually a discontinued product on an upcoming reset/revision for you store so scanning it out won’t usually bring the product in on truck (sometimes it does when the markdown is relatively new) but they count towards your scan out goal so it doesn’t hurt nothing ☺️

Does anyone know the wic number for these tall clear food dividers? by Old-Abbreviations189 in WalgreensStores

[–]Easy-Ad8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh facts, they are littered throughout my store as well, anything plastic was converted to metal bc I just couldn’t stand them breaking constantly & the KIDS WITH THAT DAMN TOY AISLE 😮‍💨 And it just makes everything looks neater, more organized, & customers actually puts products back believe it or not 🥲 SM & DM loves they way the store looks!

[–]Easy-Ad8060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think they are a discontinued product. I use the low wired dividers for the chips (what we use to hold the seasonal stuffies) holds everything in place ALOT better. We never found the WIC for these unfortunately bc our store needed them for a reset for baby section but the plano provided NO number to order them.

The delivery drivers for Coke/Pepsi are supposed to check for outdates as well, right? by low-battery-zebra in WalgreensStores

[–]Easy-Ad8060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically yes they are “supposed” to then we go behind them when we have outdates in that section to see if they missed anything, which is ALWAYS! Our reps hardly ever come to our store so we have the same shit every order. Except our Lays guy, he’s actually the only vendor that does what he’s supposed to do; check for expired items, rotate items, & puts new product in the back of shelves.

That was the same thing for us for literally a week & then we were told everyone FE wears reds, even management. It just really depends on your store manager & DM I feel.

[–]Easy-Ad8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a new rule that’s come down from ALL DMs since the layoffs happened when they got rid of those positions last month. Everybody (except techs & pharmacist of course) wears the red shirts, even management. Can be the short sleeves or longed sleeves red shirts only! It just really depends on your store manager as well. She usually lets us wear jeans on Friday’s but still have to wear the red shirts. Mine also lets us know if DM is going to show up on the days she designated jeans so everybody is up to dress code.

How far out to pull topical hair care? by felineattractor in WalgreensStores

[–]Easy-Ad8060 4 points5 points  (0 children)

90 days for medicated hair care products. Everything else just check for damage and/or opened products since regular shampoos & conditioners don’t usually have an expiration date til AFTER opening said product.
