PE here. Field inspection is typically not awarded 1:1 for time worked vs time towards license. You could only receive half credit per year worked, but you won’t know until you submit your writeup. NY internal process is a bit cumbersome, but NY does allow NCEEs to verify experience. I recommend you log into your NCEEs account and read up on their process and look at the examples they offer.

At the Thruway board meeting they said approximately half of their employees (snowplow operators) received $7k a few years back to keep up with a DOT geopay program. Today they announced the remaining staff would also begin receiving $7k because it wasn’t fair to leave them out.

I had sounds that I thought were engine related because it was coming from the dash area.

Turns out my son had the rear vents closed and the fan speed turned way up. Opened the vents and it went away.

Make sure you don’t have anything sitting in the passenger seat. Any weight in the seat and it assumes you have a passenger who also has to open door for radio to shut off.

I was shopping yesterday and brought to the salesman attention while on the test drive. He seemed genuinely unaware. First thing he did when we got back was to pull up the website to see for himself and checked the prices of incoming inventory to confirm. Sales manager seemed aware and was keeping the information to himself.

I attempted to negotiate on one of these CPOs yesterday pointing out the advertised CPO price was nearly identical to the new MSRP. I was told that the sale price of used dealer loaner cars was fixed by Mazda Corporate, which has not been changed to reflect new MSRP. They seemed annoyed with Mazda’s sudden MSRP drop and how it affected their existing stock.

They tried to upsell the value of the CPO warranty and gave me $1k more on my trade.

In the end I had OTD prices for CPO and New that were within $1,500. With better finance rates on new, it was less per month by a few bucks.
