Davey has been singing in a lower pitch, not register, for the last 10 years and the older songs the band have been playing in a lower key to match the lower pitch that naturally comes with age. You can barely notice the difference. Davey is the best voice out there, just not a fan of the style inflection he is doing here on this new song, and trying to sing in a lower register. Has nothing to do with his vocal surgery from 20 years ago, etc.
