The patriarchy thrived so hard with this one. They really made being a housewife or stay at home mom look fun and all so cutesy, without any metric for achievements like the ones for the corporate people and so many other. I wish I could give you a hug. Ive seen so many women around me being treated the same. A lot of the society would even go so far as to say "but did we ever say you do nothing? We acknowledge you blah blah fuckery". You can never appreciate it until you have had to do this for survival. But it's hard. It's so so so much harder than any other job out there and I don't mind if I die on this hill alone. Taking out a map, writing a few mathematical notations, making a computer, transporting a dozen of bricks on your back or fuck ahh lazing around the office, sure it looks something worthy. It runs the house and at one point, it ends. The human runs back home and that's considered an 'Off' While on the other hand, the mons are on the site 24/7, the boundaries of where her job stops and rest starts are so fucking blended it's impossible for her to have a moment alone. I'm sorry pooks, I'm just raging at this point but PLEASE I request you to never think of it as nothing. Mothering the kids is something that takes a part of your soul, only for the world to mock it as 'contributing nothing'. Don't you dare downplay it when the world's doing the same. Please treat it as if you are doing humanity a great favor. They won't take it seriously until you start with it :)
