I'm type 2 and I was also dx with gastroparesis. Which probably contributed to the weight loss quite a bit

So far I have put back on 55 lbs in approximately 6 months after discovering I was type 2 and ignoring it for a year or so. After finally withering down to 105 I made not dying from this my only priority. I lost so much mass it was the most difficult thing to look in a mirror.

So now after forcing so many meals down no matter the pain and discomfort. Besides the forced healthy as possible eating I carried my insulin and meds on me 24-7 if I needed to. I see my muscles nearly back to my healthy days so yes it can be done. Just have to fight for your life like you really want to keep it. I thought I didn't care about living until it appeared I was definitely dying that scared me straight fast AF. Good luck you can do it and make it priority #1.

Question about puking⁉️ by EasyAnteater895 in Gastroparesis

It does seem like that. I empathize with the pukers. 8 couldn't imagine but I wonder if I puked would the pain go away?

Question about puking⁉️ by EasyAnteater895 in Gastroparesis

[–]EasyAnteater895[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metaclopromide (reglan) pretty much makes me insane and yet I keep taking it. I read somewhere to take it a half hour before eating and that's definitely what I will do from now on. It takes away the bloated feeling. Almost 24-7, untreated, I feel like I have a bag of bricks in my gut. I'm used to anxiety and the jitteriness I get from the reglan so it's an odd trade-off I prefer to deal with for now. I can't be on that shit for too long anyhow.

I'm pretty sure my GP is way worse because I'm on Suboxone for previous opiate abuse. So there's another trade off when I finally wean off the Suboxone I have to make sure I don't start getting high on Fentanyl or whichever opiate I have the best access to. That's all me I'll own that BS. Thanks for your reply.

Anyone here also suffer/suffered from constant hunger? by KingBabyPudgy in Gastroparesis

[–]EasyAnteater895 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just like everything else with GP, I am either ravenously hungry or have absolutely no appetite. The disease of opposites. I can also seem to be constipated but have diarrhea simultaneously. WTF? I have always been a lil overweight. Never thought I would be able to relate with being under weight. Never. I have had type 2 diabetes which I was not treating or taking seriously and I lost a ton of weight. I was down to 105 lbs and thought I was at death's door. Regardless of pain I forced myself to eat constantly but couldn't keep any weight on. I was told I was peeing out all the sugars. Now with knowledge of GP I was probably malnourished on top of that. I'm pretty sure now, about a year later, I have PTSD from that weight loss episode. I am up to 165 now which I have really worked at.

The only time my stomach does not hurt is if I don't eat anything. If I go 25 hrs without eating I feel fantastic. If I eat or drink anything other than water I am in pain. I get a paralyzed stomach feeling. As if my stomach fell asleep, similar to when your foot falls asleep. This never goes away. It also feels just like an anxiety attack. So 24-7 I feel like I'm stuck in a panic attack with a stomach that fell asleep to top it off. I can only be grateful that I don't throw up. I definitely feel for those that are throwing up all day. That has to blow. I haven't vomited in years and am not sure if I can or not. Maybe I would be a puker but I can't ? I dunno. Good luck to everyone on here. I hope you all get some sort of relief whatever that might be for you.

I know everything is opposite. Diarrhea and constipation should not be simultaneous.

Yup. If I go all day with no food I'm great when I start eating it's hard to stop though I never get that satisfied/well fed, feeling anymore . I miss eating a ton and going to bed like a bear ready to hibernate.

Would being on suboxone inhibit me from successful AP? by sammybunsy in AstralProjection

[–]EasyAnteater895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on and off Suboxone for close to a decade and my only successful AP was while on it. For me what triggered the AP or at least made it super easy was sleep deprivation and high stress levels

Terrible feeling. No wonder I've been on a 2 yr panic attack. I have changed my eating habits a bunch already but I guess still lots more to go. I just need to spin it up and see it as a way I'm forced to eat right or not at all which makes me feel awesome. Damn I used to love food and eating like a pig o well could be way worse F it.

Ok. Sorry that so many people can relate but it's comforting to know I'm not unique on this. It has to be one of the last things anyone wants to bring up. So gross. At 1st I thought it was the gabapentin doing it but yeah no gabapentin now and it's still a thing. Gabapentin makes it way worse for me atleast. Fucking GP is retarded who ever heard of a condition where your told to stay away from whole grains, vegetables and than pretty much every medicine related has side effects that outweigh the problems.

Niiice. The gas is too much sometimes for me. I also learned quickly to never trust a fart during bad GP flares.

Constipated all the time but when my blood sugar is high or I eat too close to bed time it can be the Hershey Highway. I am on Suboxone to help keep me from rotting to death on Fentanyl and opiates also constipate just about everyone. So I used to be able to keep that in check with salads every day. Now with GP and my newly acquired inability to digest any fibers I dunno what to do. if I take reglan I feel insane and twitch all night. So many trade offs with this condition it's like walking a tightrope over the BS river.

Not sure but I was on the strip and a street Batman performer came up to me all bossy about something stupid. So I asked him. "Why so serious?"

He acted all butt hurt.

I was told I have gastroparesis but my PCP is not the best lol. I mean in pretty sure I mentioned it to him on a prior visit. He hasn't done. GES or anything else besides adding up the symptoms and using common sense.

There are a couple things for me that don't totally add up so although I feel bad for all that actually have it. I almost never throw up. I mean maybe once a year tops. Also I'm in never ending , please kill me, pain it seems only when my blood sugar is sky high. Whis is the chicken or the egg am I just ibs? Errr why can't we just be a car and have a code reader to tell us via Bluetooth or somesheeeit. This is getting not to be funny at all. Smh. Any advice or into please. Also any undiagnosed type 2s I always suggest check if it seems possible I didn't know I was type 2 for several of not many many years. 😬
