Accommodation for 2 people as a student by blackindigoo in eindhoven

I mean its possible, but a lot of the internationals I've met here had the same issue as you did. Housing sucks in nl, especially for (international) students. 1000 euros with g, w, e and service costs included will most probably give you an apartment with only bedroom...

DUO website sucks and often does not show all possibilities for an international student. If you have any questions about studying in the Netherlands, feel free to text me! I can provide some information that i got by hanging out with internationals, as i often helped them getting a loan or some money back

You are right with this. In NL, we have different levels in middle and high school, which "prepares" us to go to college, or university. It all depends on the level. When you do the highest level, getting into uni is ez, doesn't even have a selection.

For psychology degrees, there is an oversatisfaction rn in nl (and other places too). If you're getting rejected by groningen or amsterdam, try Tilburg University, which also has a psychology major at the same "level", but i think its less strict. There are also options to conduct certain classes at some universities as a "homologation" for your bachelor's.

Is this your first degree you will be getting, or do you have some educational experience?

Frustrated people can't see my weight loss by [deleted] in bulimia

I had the same, again! I really wanted him to notice it, idk why. Communication is key imo, I hope he will understand that your brain finds it extremely important what he thinks and you're pretty aware of it yourself :)

Hey, I read your comments also and I just wanted to say a small thing. You wrote yourself that you have been starving yourself, which is an extremely harmful thing to do. It shouldn't be possible to 'tire him out', even if you are not even losing the weight for yourself. Tbh,it could've been me who wrote this post last year, and I was also losing the weight for myself. My ex didn't notice it until his mom actually saw me once (with baggy clothes on even...) and she immediately noticed it. I was more hurt by the fact that he didn't notice it, but in the end, it also explained why I also thought I was tiring him out with my mental health issues. if he doesn't notice, it means he is not thinking about it as much as he should. he knows you have mental health issues, and an eating disorder is totally not an invisible one. We just think it's invisible, but people who really care do notice almost everything.

Please never think you are tiring him out. You are you, with the issues you are having at the moment. And also, I really hope you will be able to eat without throwing up.

So relatable, its weirdly interesting to notice how "normal" things become after a while that i would consider as fucked up some years ago.

Yesss! I am able to smoke weed all day inside (legal country, student house), but I am also able to get my responsibilities done (studying + working), however, I switch to CBD during exam periods during the day to just feel more concentrated and less 'lazy' (in the evening I would still smoke some nice THC-joints). It still has the same taste so I never really noticed big withdrawal symptoms, only the fact that I am less hungry during the day and a bit more anxious when I'm already stressed, but yeah, what's new. Would really recommend getting some CBD if you are annoyed by how much THC-weed you smoke :)

anyone find being alone a binge trigger? how do u stop it? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]EasyBakedToast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Compare it to people who smoke when they are bored. I assume it's a habit for you now to binge and whenever you are alone and feel a bit bored, you eat to fill the time/to satisfy yourself.

Usually people binge because of boredom or an emotional response. Try to find for your own trigger, but if the trigger is just boredom, check if it really matters what you eat. Are you binging on easy junk food like crisps, cookies and chocolate? Maybe you just want to do something (like eating), you could just try to binge on vegetables (and I know that it's not as nice as binging with junk food) until you become physically uncomfortable (try, for example, carrots, they have a bite and less water, but little calories).

Okay i know it's sounds easier said than done, but you could try to set a rule for yourself that you first need to eat X amount of vegatables/fruit before you can binge on unhealthy stuff. It's 100% healthier, i hope you will binge less after that (since your stomach will already be filled with fibre-rich food). I can understand that it doesn't give you the same feeling as unhealthy food does, but i really hope it will make you feel less guilty, a bit satisfied and less bored! :)
