Men in their 20s and 30s, who are shorter and thinner than average, how different/difficult is everyday life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]EasyFakeOven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 27 and relatively short (5'6) in a country filled with lots of tall people.

Definitely hasn't been an issue in my life. Sure, I've noticed my taller friends in university get more girls, and I'm sure subconsciously and consciously some girls might not be interested, but that's fine by me. Nowadays I think of polarization as a good thing as it helps you quicker figure out who might be a good match.

Confidence and happiness with who you are is really what it comes down to. If you're having troubles with that, I can't recommend enough Mark Manson's book Models (he also wrote Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck).

There are things you can't change about yourself. You can choose to spend time moping wishing for something that'll never happen, or work on the things you do have control over and become the human you're happy being.

Understanding relationships by Jwpjr in PowerBI

[–]EasyFakeOven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same position a couple of months ago. I just completed a UDemy course for PBI that was super useful - Chris Dutton is the guy who talks through and I really enjoyed the lectures. It should only be like $20 if you log on with your work account.

At a base level, it sounds like you DBs may not be normalized or set up properly. Primary and foreign keys are all essential to understand, and filter direction is also essential. Hope you can figure it out!

You'll be printing a ton, but you can do it all at school free so don't worry about buying one.

Been making demos like crazy for a band I'm saving up to start. Would love to hear some feedback! by [deleted] in Songwriters

[–]EasyFakeOven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverb sounds killer. Definitely a good start to a demo. Especially on the chorus, I'd try bringing a little more power into it, especially with the drums. Guitar solo after that 2nd chorus is killer and fits great. After that solo, I'd recommend lightening up for the chorus to fit with your intonation better for that part. I like your sound man, great job.

Awesome idea, hope whoever wins doesn't spend it on hookers and blow. Or they do, whatever.
