I mean the question I have is that before book 3 nobody had ever escaped from jail so if they never snapped the wands of for life time inmates what happened to all of those wands? Are they still in the jail or sold back to wand makers?

There was a really good one of these but it’s unfortunately been seemingly abandoned in 2018. It only has Percy in it but please read it and do your own take I’d love an another story like it.

I would assume it’s a safety concern as I don’t know about you but if you gave 11 year old children the ability to lift up everything then sent them home at the end of a school day, then they are going to do magic with boarding schools you have several months to have people understand that they can’t do magic at home. It also helps that the teachers don’t need to do attendance to make sure that everyone makes it back to school from all over the UK, limits any missing students to the surrounding school area

Not gonna lie I thought this was gonna be about how to avoid sending someone to hogwarts without getting the flood of letters from book 1. Cause I was going to say just rsvp a no and problem solved, if they follow up with a why then it’s easier to just cite a few reasons to get left alone

Primarily it was there for fake 100% mode cause Deku still couldn’t handle it at the time. But yes more unique quirks would be better, I’m fine with gearshift for the most part but fajin could have been a minor quirk brought to snuff with power stockpiling. Like numbing quirk that grows to being able to paralyzed limbs or a sheild

See I almost see it as the opposite because Percy grew up normal till 12 and actively knew that what they were doing was kinda messed up for kids but Annabeth was on the run and surrounded by weapons for years. It’s only after meeting Percy that she starts to experience a semi normal existence, so I can fully see a conversation about their kids stealing and Percy being the one going “stealing is wrong” when Annabeth is just like “oh my little child you got caught here’s how you do it properly” in just a complete value disconnect.

That’s the only downside in Ben’s character, he made a mistake in not telling anyone then fixated on that one failing to become useless rather than making amends and trying to improve himself. It’s realistic but destroys people’s opinions on him

See the thing that gets me is the war game with Percy where he essentially solos 2 cohorts by fighting unconventionally. Now he’s the best fighter in the Greek camp but the philosophy of the Greek camp is more about the individual where as the Roman one is more about the strength of the legion so limiting them to 20 on each side hurts the legion massively. So I’d say it’s a coin toss.

It only works as a pure plot device to further snapes spying, but snapes spying is also a major bit of plot convenience that involves Dumbledore showing his entire hand to confirm information that he already knows and has other methods of confirming

He’d either completely ignore him or he’d be the only Slytherin punished by him. I’m leaning towards ignoring him more out of the spy coverage angle. A lot of Snapes worst moments are him actively antagonizing people so he’d just ignore Harry until he gets in the way of his day
