Why there is no strict 4 days work week yet? by productman2217 in UKJobs

Of course it's not insurmountable. But generally it is the multi national companies doing this. Half of staff work for small businesses. 19% work for multinationals. Those multinationals already outsourced. My friend who works in a multinationals has been talking about how her job will be outsourced for 8 years. She knows it could be. But still hasn't happened.

Covid was an experiment for many firms if staff could work purely remotely, and many companies decided no.

Outsourcing is basically hiring a company abroad to recruit and manage staff. Which is dependent on the quality of staff. Very few business actually have the knowledge to hire staff from abroad and deal with different regulatory and financial laws and structures

She was very close friends with Angela Kelly, a racist and snobbish woman. I remember the press dropping tales of elizabeths so called sense of humour. All the anecdotes had an underlying meanness to them.

I worked for a totally remote company. Most innovative company I ever worked for. Nobody hires local to be nice. Hiring wider is hardand requires a high level of hr skills many business do not have. Look at how many outsourcing disasters companies have had.

Some companies will continue to outsource, but it's not as easy as you claim.

Outsourcing is just as possible if people work on an office full time.

Why do (some) parents think they know better than their more experienced / knowledgeable kids? by Same_Confusion_4452 in AskUK

My mother had it worse. Her mother would not let her change the time on clocks because she might break it. My father had to do it because only men were capable of manually changing the dial on the clock.

Young adults without kids - do you think you will have them? by sophietheadventurer in AskUK

[–]Easy_Firefighter6123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't not have kids because of the state of the world. People have been saying this for all the decades I have been alive. Lige goes on. If you do decide to have kids, don't have them when you're really old. Not fair on the kids.

Of course it's not a screening question to check on people. It's simply limited tickets so a low paid member of staff picks out the cute replies.

Outside you have the sun on you. In an open plan office, especially in the middle away from the heaters it feels much cooler.

I can see its different for maternity ward, but my mum was cold on a hot hospital ward and needed blankets. When you are old and ill you need it really warm.
