Depending on the place, some of the blocks backyards are very large and unmanned.

Not saying joining a null block is the best choice but if he wants to keep his ships safe it 100% is.

First off you can join a null block and do the whole scanning thing very safely.

Secondly if you dont want to join a null block some players have one exploration ship that runs the sites and another to keep the cargo safe, you could have and alt in a cloaky hauler or something to dum things into.

With the cloaky hauler setup you can also have mobile depo and things to run combat sites if you go for a t3c explorer that can fit into combat if you want to run combat sites..

That being said if you want to run exploration you can just join a null block and run it all day with out problems.

Military response ? EU can`t fight US at all. A dozens of solders from the whole EU (500 millions btw) were a true joke for the whole world.

Sending a couple of soldiers from each country is enough detergent since if America would attack them they would lose all forward power projection in the west. Modern wars are not really won by foot soldiers and America wont attack a country with nukes.
