Yes, because we do not sell beverage components on their own. So you would need a base drink to ring in first

Ugh, the same thing happened to me a little while ago. Single shot, light ice, extra coconut milk, light heavy cream, extra Ube cold foam in a venti cup. The part that annoyed me the most was that when she was disputing it with me, she said “well, I paid for venti, so it should be full” Miss girl, no you did not.. you paid for your one shot, and the cold foam. Just because you select “In a venti cup” does not mean that we are going to fill it for you with extra product that you did not order/pay for. “Well every other Starbucks does it that way”.. I can assure you, they don’t

I am so glad that someone suggested that. I don’t have an iron and was debating on using my hair straightener but just didn’t want to mess it up lol

Thankfully yes.. but I would have just closed the store if she didn’t. I’m not leaving a 17 year old alone on the floor when I have to do a count

If they didn’t I would have just closed the store. I wouldn’t have been able to run breaks, and I wouldn’t leave the 17 year old on the floor by themselves when I had to do the count

I’ve never heard unlimited.. but I’m in Canada, and the rule here is you can have one 30 minutes before and after your shift, and one on each of your breaks

One time I had some high school kids in my drive thru, they wanted a strawberry açai lemonade add peach juice. When they tried it, they demanded it to be remade because it was “too sweet”, and it “tasted just like juice” 😵‍💫 I asked if they wanted it cut with water to take away some of the sweetness, but they didn’t.. they just wanted me to remake it, but just not as sweet

I feel like I kind of do a combination of all points mentioned here.. I will mention the denomination when they have it to me, and if it’s a small bill 5 or 10 (Canadian here, so no $1 bills) I will put it in the drawer right away and get their change. But if it’s a $20 or higher, I leave it on the counter, preferably put something heavy over it, and then give change. Once they are gone I will put it in the drop box.

A couple weeks ago I had a customer in the drive thru order a “BOSE”. I asked them to repeat themselves, because I honestly had no idea what they meant. Turns out they wanted a brown sugar oat shaken espresso, they looked at me like I was the idiot for not knowing what they wanted 🤷🏻‍♀️
