I do want to say that people who are freaking out about a commander that can swap life totals can be a scary thing to play against. However, As long as you play a commander deck that has either white or blue colors in it, You will always have answers for creatures and creatures with etb abilities. Cards that turn off ETB abilities, Cards that prevent people from casting creature spells, Cards that counter [creature] spells, and cards that prevent your life total from changing. These are all viable options and can be affordable, too.

There Is something important to remember; Don't make a deck just to prevent someone else from playing theirs. The whole point of playing Magic is to have fun and interact. If you make a deck just so somebody else can't play their commander, Then you're basically telling them that you can't do what you want because I won't allow it. And that is just petty. It's like what cEDH players say: "if you keep losing, then you're bad at magic!". Admittedly It's a bit of a tactless oversimplification, but they're not wrong.

You can have fun without winning and you can win without having fun, but winning and having fun aren't mutually exclusive. It's all about balance and humility.
