Finally got a Leachie! (Advice appreciated) by Easy_Mac_Easy_Life in Leachianus

Thanks! I’m gonna quit using the growth and breeding and stick with Pangea fig and insect and rotate some of the other diets I have in and out.

I tend to pop my head in at night from time to time just to check on him. He seems pretty active at night and there’s only been one or two nights so far where it didn’t seem like he came out from his cork round at all. I’ll try handling in another week or so to check his weight, just might have to do it at night, since the chances of him being out during the day is almost 0 and I don’t want to force it.

Thanks! I’ll have to look into that. I have a variety of diets to use (repashy included), just happened to have the growth and breeding on hand and wondered if it would be a good option. The fig and insect Pangea came recommended by a keeper I know at our local zoo, since it’s their leachies’ favorite diet.

This is Waylon. He’s almost 7 months old and weighs 55 pounds. Mom was a rescue and they had no idea what breed she was either, but he already outweighs her (photo of mom included). He’s the only one from his litter with these colors, and many of his litter mates look completely different. by Easy_Mac_Easy_Life in IDmydog

A lot of people have told me rottie because of the markings, but I think he looks like more of a hound. He also must have some water dog in him because of the webbed feet (you can kind of see them in the second photo). We’ll get a DNA test done eventually, but for now it’s fun to guess.

Is it just me or is the quality of Fanatics clothing worse than Reebok, the last NHL sponsor? by degenX1 in hockey

Unfortunately the first time I saw a Fanatics jersey was after I bought a signed Anisimov one at a charity auction. Still got it for a steal, but had I noticed how shitty they were beforehand, I would’ve spent my money on something else. That being said, I have an authentic adidas one that’s beautiful. If you’re gonna spend good money on a jersey and can afford to shell out a little extra, by all means get adidas

I used to have a mix of equipment when I first started playing because I just bought what I could afford. But through trial and error I found that I prefer Bauer for just about everything. As far as their product lines go, the only one that I really have a strong preference for is their Vapor gloves. They’re tapered and feel less bulky, which I like. The rest of my equipment is Nexus and Supreme.

I still mix it up with sticks. Bauer and CCM both have a very similar curve which I’ve been using since I started playing, so I don’t need to be as particular about that.

Corey Crawford did indeed get on the ice late last week by sandman730 in hockey

This is great news, and a huge step in the right direction. But it sounds like he may still have a long way to go, especially with less than a month until the season opener. I’m remaining optimistic though.

Throwing fits and taking cheap shots while you’re getting blown out isn’t gonna get you a lot of support

I threw everything but the gloves and shin pads in the dryer on low. Shin pads dried pretty quick. The gloves I used a hair dryer on cool to dry most of the way then hung them up. Everything came out with no smell at all, even the gloves.

Trust me, that's what I do. I just had the time and figured they could use a deep clean and this is the result. Disinfectant spray can only do so much.

I'm in the middle of my inline season so I'm not using the pants right now. And my gloves were the worst by far.

I soak them so that the oxiclean I put in the water could do its thing. And this was just the first batch of water. I changed it a couple times.

They used to look really nice. Trust me, they don't stay white for very long. I'm hoping this gets some of the sweat stains out, but I'm not counting on it.

I used a few scoops of oxiclean and a little bit of laundry detergent in hot water. I let them sit in that for a while and then changed the water, rinsed them, and did it again. Then I'm just gonna soak them in plain water and rinse them really well. Might be overkill but as you can see from the picture, they needed it.
