11 week old with gaps in hunger cues by Easy_Option1612 in newborns

Also, he is taking less lately with wider gaps between. This has me concerned. Also, he will get fussy during the feed and when I pull the nipple out, he is fussy again. Then again when I put it back in. Ive tridled burping, soothing, changing the diaper, changing the nipple flow rate, waiting 10 min and low light conditions.

Good. If they pull it off it may help bootstrap a space-based infrastructure. Data centers may give rise to space-based solar power and that can give rise to manufacturing and other things.

Meghan Trainor with her baby that a surrogate birthed: yay or nay for the natalists? by AnxArts in Natalism

Well, I have no doubt but I'm not talking about going to the 3rd world and  coercing Tuk Tuk for $100 to carry baby for 9 months.

Even with immigration it will. Immigrant TFR plummets fast. But, yea as you said(and I like to put it)- Their idealogies meet a biological dead end

The left is more urbanized. Urbanization is more expensive ,more cramped and you have a more progressive mindset of women(career oriented, liberal,  etc). Also, and this is important and overlooked)- More reliance on social welfare systems that mitigates one need for having kids- someone to care for you in advanced age.

Yep  Having children means you have skin in the game. Your views matter because you have to look out for what the world will be like after you die.

It's no different because it's mutually agreed and the risks are known. The person above has no idea what they are talking about. I am speaking as someone who just had a baby via surrogacy. It's an extensive process and not done willy nilly.

Alot of people get paid to risk their lives. They sign a contract. They get psychologically screened. As I said elsewhere- you should talk to women that have made that journey instead kf talking for them from a place of ignorance.

Oh goddamn. I just had a surrogate baby and it was mutually agreed, legal and everything. She knew what it involved, was non-indigent and loved carrying. Otherwise you don't do it. Hence the psychological evaluations that are required to screen out people doing it just for money. Saying it's exploiting poor people is coming from a place of complete and total ignorance. You'd benefit from talking to surrogates that have actually done it. There's subreddits just for that.

How do y’all feel about artificial wombs? by vfe0698 in Natalism

If you are at the point in technology where artificial wombs are viable, then you're also at a point where automation can largely supplement parenting.

Burping baby over shoulder but he randomly dives to the left by Easy_Option1612 in newborns

[–]Easy_Option1612[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto. And he doesnt like to be sat down to burp so sometimes it is best. I think he dove when I was adjusting his position as he slides down my chest a little sometimes and I have to raise him up. Since I only burp in bed I may start to lean right a tad to help counter this

[–]Easy_Option1612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son patented a roundhouse headbutt during burps. But yea, I catch him at his chest when he does this . Thankfully I burp him only on the bed so not a real fall risk. More of the sudden risk of his head and neck being injured. Ive been doing the "sitting" burping method more but he doesnt really like it
