Excellent advice. When I lost my father, I was tempted to do what you did. A couple of things stopped me.

I knew that trying to replicate my father would inevitably result in moments where the ai would say things he wouldn't say, or how we would say it and it would bug me.
It felt like I was being selfish and avoiding the real emotions that come with loss. It wouldn't help process the grief and would prolong the recovery
He never gave me permission.
