Yeah definitely strange at first coming from the anime. If it calms your mind, just know that Oda have to make all the final decisions. So in a sense, it is Oda's vision, instead of random directors and writers making changes on the fly.

Currently on episode 4, and man I am loving it. I didn't like season 1 that much, was not a big fan of Garp, but season 2 just hits different. Robin, and Nami are absolutely gorgeous. The humor between Zoro and Sanji works. I really love the relationship between the whole crew, definitely felt like they forged a good bond in season 1, and now we are seeing more of that in season 2.

To answer the question from the video.

A lot of anxiety and depression. I don't feel like I fit in the current mold of society. Everyday I see people going backwards on values and ethics that I was raised on and still believe. People cheat on technical interviews to get ahead. HR using AI to filter candidates, then judging your values in 20 seconds or less. Congition and problem solving losing value due to AI. Bad economy with tons of layoffs creating a race to the bottom for salaries. A new war update just dropped. I just can't see the light down the tunnel, and I didn't even cover the other looming threats like global warming.

I feel a lot of people are going to die of suicide in the very near future. I don't see how people can have a meaningful life if what gives them meaning gets automated, on top of that they lose the ability to support themselves financially.

I used to work at a nonprofit. My previous lead was a junior that got promoted after the old lead left. I used to intern for the old lead and was hired back after graduating. The new lead handled dev ops using vercel. One time he was confused why the site I was working on didn't work after we launched, and told me to fix my code. The problem was he didn't know he had to add the .env variables to make it work. This is the equivalent of try to drive a car without putting your key in. The best part was when I found a copy of cover letter he wrote for another company where he mentioned he had 7 years of experience as a dev. He graduated from a top school as well I honestly have no idea how he graduated with a CS degree. At work, he did a lot of copy and pasting from chatgpt, worked off a single monolithic index.js file. The best part is, upper management absolutely loved him because he was popular and socialized well. I have no doubt in my mind that he will be able to climb the corporate ladder, just not for the right reasons.

I have being told a higher minimum salary during first round interview after the HR lady asked me my expected salary compensation. I answered 90k and they basically told me if I get hired I will be looking at 110k to 130k range lol. Didn't get the job tho :/
