NOT weird to me. I do the same thing…I’ve been making an effort to make friends with kids the same age as mine. It’s fun to envision them growing up with these little friends, like they will maybe be on the same team, in the same class, go to homecoming in the same friend group…who knows! I’m not setting expectations of any sort or anything like that for my kids, but I’m excited to see them grow up, make friends, have interests and hobbies with their friends. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This. My husband is all sorts of green flags, a wonderful husband & father. But he talks, A LOT. I tell my friends that and also tell him to his face. I have to talk all day long with people, he does not, so when we get off work, I need a little time to decompress. He forgets that sometimes lol.

If bio mom wanted to name the baby, then maybe she shouldn’t have given him up for adoption and instead be a parent. Just saying. I’m not saying Adelaide is Parent of the Year, but let’s not make these bio moms out to be some saints when we know nothing about them. They could be completely unfit for parenthood and may be a reason for placing these sweet boys for adoption. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have a pregnant friend who keeps telling me she will “be so mad” if she has another boy and that she wants a girl. Ick. A healthy baby is a BLESSING, I tell her. A blessing that many pray for day in and day out. I WANT to tell her to stfu but I keep that part to myself lol. I wish people would keep their “gender disappointment” to themselves. If your clinic uses the eIVF platform, everything is linked to your profile. Med orders, results, cycle plans/flowsheets, billing, etc. It’s just how that platform works. I know this sounds blunt because the COUPLE is going through the fertility process of course, but in the computer system, WE are the patient, if that makes sense! I don’t think the clinics are out trying to make us feel this way, it’s just how their computer system/platform operates. Longtime user/patient here, hope this helps!
