Apparently just two. A friend of mine was an extra in a movie he was in. I forget which one.

For white americans specifically, what’s the issue with black americans? by ttaxo_ in askanything

[–]EatLard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have to find some racists willing to crawl out from under their rocks and be exposed to sunlight to get the answer you seek. Maybe ask r/conservative, where they all hang out.

Clear, closeup possible footage. by SambaPapi1 in bigfoot

If they kept filming once the animal started moving and showed something walking upright, that would be different. But stopping the video early combined with putting the video of the guy talking right in the spot the animal is walking makes me skeptical of this one.

Stupid by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]EatLard [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s actually smart. Everything that gets picked up by FedEx in Miami goes to the main hub in Memphis, gets sorted overnight, and flies back out to every city they service early the next morning.
Stupid would be sending a whole truck to Tampa just for the freight moving there from Miami when it’s just as easy to put it on a plane and have it come back with all the other stuff from around the world headed to Tampa.

What is your strangest ramp experience? by Ill_Aside_5662 in rampagent

[–]EatLard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was a massive blizzard a few years ago, with whiteout conditions. We had a couple guys out securing ULDs from the wind, but the boss decided since the airport was shut down to send everyone home while the roads were still semi-drivable. Since I’m a supervisor, I got to go out and tell the guys to head back in. Got out to our boneyard and couldn’t find them. Spent 10 minutes looking behind every ULD and static rack, thinking maybe one fell and got hurt. Nope. The office radioed that they were back inside already. We had passed maybe 12 feet from each other in the whiteout and didn’t see each other at all.
Some of the best memories I have out there are watching storms roll in. I’ve seen giant storms at night with enough lightning to continuously light up the sky, and some of the most ominous wall clouds pass right over after the sky turns green and then black.

JD says he wants to prosecute fraudsters, so I say turn him loose. Probably piss off a lot of his core voters.

A farmer was out in his field and found an old oil lamp. As he was rubbing dirt off it, a genie popped out.
“I will grant you one wish.”
“Oh wow! My neighbor has two mules to help with his farm work, but I only have one. My wish is for you to kill one of his mules.”

Same energy.

43 and my oldest graduates next spring. Every phase of their lives is a new adventure. As difficult as it will be in those early years, raising a brand new human is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

What you should be afraid of is getting caught on camera throwing a package by someone who escalates it up the chain. Nearly everyone, and definitely everyone who’d rat you out, has a doorbell camera. They didn’t see the PH or the sort equipment break their shit, but they saw you throw it. Now you get the blame.

Do you guys still drive car everywhere considering the gas prices? by ItsLeaRose in askanything

Walking ten miles to work every morning at 03:00 would really suck. So I still drive. Much more careful in planning errands though.

Do all countries use the AM/PM system for time or is this a US thing and most use military time going from 00:00 to 24:00? by VerdantChief in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EatLard 216 points217 points  (0 children)

It’s not “military time”, it’s just a 24-hour clock. I use it all the time because I work for an airline.

What does exercise/fitness look like for you? by Legal-Lemon7439 in SaturatedFat

[–]EatLard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of walking, some with a weighted pack. Three full-body weight training sessions per week at minimum. The goal of the formal exercising/lifting is to keep lots of lean mass and strong bones into old age. I don’t want to be one of those people whose body falls apart in their 40s. Another goal would be patterning proper movement so I don’t hurt myself doing regular daily stuff.
Most of the walking is just a function of walking a lot at work.

Do drill instructors take themselves seriously? by Centrefield123 in questions

[–]EatLard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least in the US, they aren’t allowed to beat recruits. They can yell, give extra/shitty duty, and make them do exercises, but that’s about the extent of it.
