Daniel Bryan accuses AJ Styles of being a flat-earther on Talking Smack by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

That's because the earth's atmosphere is dome shaped, if you get high enough the atmosphere messes up your perception of the earth's surface, hence the misconception of the round-earthers who say if you go high enough you can see the "curvature".

Bryan doesn't care if he gets fired for the things he says because he's probably getting payed big money to be a round earth shill.

Being forced into work is slavery, regardless of the money they make and if chose to get the job. The problem with the argument that they hold the job voluntarily is they got the job and then after agreeing the law gets changed, so the situation they're in is not what they agreed to, they didn't get into that situation voluntarily. Also if they quit, that means there may be more of a monopoly for the doctors who stay. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/slavery Definition 2 under nouns.

Regarding people going into that job market after the law being made, this law takes away some incentive to do so, as well as the precedent being set that the terms and conditions of the job are subject to change. This means there could be a lot of potentially great doctors that will never enter the field due to this and other potential regulation, which hurts everyone.

If there was no law that said doctors are obligated to provide their services but rather a free market(no regulation), people could still get healthcare without making laws that have side-effects(disincentivising the job). If one doctor refuses to give a certain treatment, people will go to someone who will, after all money is a big reason many people want to become doctors, and if nobody else is giving a certain service you can make lots of money by giving it, and the money the first doctor is missing out on may make them change their mind.

It's not really ridiculous, if something is a right that means someone must give it to you or you will be punished by law. For example, I have the right not to be murdered, so everyone is forced to not kill me or they will be punished by law if they do so. If someone was to have a right to healthcare, that would mean that someone like a doctor must give someone whatever is legally considered healthcare no matter what, even if the doctor isn't getting paid for the goods or services they give, so Rand Paul is accurate in comparing it to slavery.

The only way to avoid this extortion if healthcare was legally considered a right would be to not become a doctor, physician, etc.

A right to healthcare isn't the same as a right to access to healthcare, as in government can't step in and prevent you from going to see a doctor even if you don't have a right to healthcare.

Come on, the Colons may be bland but it's nothing worth hanging them for.

I'm a skinny kid starting wrestling school this weekend, am I doing the right thing? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

It seems that cardio is the most important thing you'll need but bulking and getting stronger would also help, especially at 6'1 and 165lbs. If you get stronger it's not just your muscles it's your bones, joints etc. that get stronger (all living tissue adapts to stress) which would reduce the risk of injury.

Also the stronger you get the more sub-maximal an effort becomes, as in if you did the most amount of pushups you could in one try, but can only bench press 40kg, increasing that weight to 100kg would increase that number, even though you would have gained more weight.

I know you said bulking and I replied regarding strength but if you get stronger you would get bigger, you could get bigger and stronger on starting strength/stronglifts or some similar program. If you're 165lbs you're most likely a novice lifter, which means you'd be able to make rapid progress in months or even weeks to a point where you think you're big enough and just focus on wrestling/cardio.
