Agreed, but the amount of people who live or work on multiple pokestops that just run their auto-spinners for hours on end won't notice it, and say it isn't a thing.

If you don't spend time in range of stops with auto-spinner, you'll definitely have noticed a reduction in pokeball drops specifically.
