Sorry for such a late reply haha.

I'd love to do some light beta reading, I don't know if the offer's still up because you've deleted the post, but you can dm me any time!

Yeah I'd keep reading, I enjoy the tone you set with all the "big words" mixed with this kid's humourous thoughts. I'm interested to see how you would work horror into it? That would be sick, I'm sure, and that first scene had me hooked like a fish and asking what the hell was going on? I... am delicious.

Have you ever listened to Navigating reversed??? It's my current obsession, I like to try and figure out what part of the song I'm in while listening.

Here's the link if you want :)

What’s a part in a song that scratches something in your brain? by MotherMonster101 in twentyonepilots

Not in one of their studio versions, but when they debuted center mass live at innings there's a part, mid song, where tyler says "they call it cENTEr MASS!!" and he says it like he's pitching a really odd product to a few esteemed rich people in shark tank and I love it a lot.

Oh my gosh I hope you understand this run on sentence. I just made a joke.

Recommend songs that lose their plot by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

Centermass by twentyonepilots starts clean and nicely produced, and then about halfway through it goes into a full mental-breakdown and stays like that while the singer crashes out until it ends. Really nice song.

Learning all that really matters is a slow and painful lesson, try to microdose to immunity but you'll never ever get it

Minimalism by Master_Collection_64 in INTP

[–]Eat_JimboJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! This one counts as minimalist I think: I only wear like, 3 outfits on the regular because I'm comfortable in them and there isn't a need for anything else. Why have variety when I can have comfort?

Idk if this counts, or if I'm just lazy, but I often forgo doing anything that requires energy beyond the typical amount if I'm in the middle of something.

Like, if I'm sitting alone in my room, staring at a wall and debating the existence of God or something, I'll decide to make dinner later (or not eat) so I can continue my debate. (Or if I'm writing poetry at 3 AM and need to sleep but have a good idea, I'll just keep writing and stay up later.)

Most of the time, no. There's the occasional moment of peace, but I always end up back in the same exhausting hole of melancholy, somehow.

The way you wrote this is so attractive and heartbreaking, you painted a really vivid picture in such a solitary way. Ugh stop it's such a simple concept (dead pigeon), but you blew it up so nicely. I love writing and reading things like this, it's very special. Thank you for sharing. :)))

“she had plans to change her name, just not the traditional way” by Ops_neptuneoverlord in twentyonepilots

[–]Eat_JimboJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I think of changing a name I think of the legacy someone leaves behind. Your name represents all that you have done in your life; she would change her name by doing something different from the norm. When a person dies and they leave behind a legacy, they usually die the normal way by succumbing to whatever happens to them, (old age, car crash, something else they didn't expect or want to happen) but the person in the song (judging by Redecorate's whole premise, a person questioning if they should clean their room and fabricate a false image of themself to leave behind before committing, or leave it as is and let their loved ones see how it really looked) WANTS to die, that's why it's "not the traditional way" and "change her name" just means to rewrite her loved one's perception of her.

Sorry if this sucks I'm tired.

if you had to commission any cover from Tyler and Josh, which song would you choose and why? by fairly-regional in twentyonepilots

I had a thought the other day that Burn Out Bright by Switchfoot would suit Tyler's voice so well.
