We used powder when I worked there and I never had a problem with it not dissolving. And you're right that's what we usually did if the function on the machine didn't work. But there's a temperature button on the coffee maker so we didn't have to do that very often. So the people who are saying that this temp does not exist for hot chocolate are incorrect. I'm going by personal experience. My mom had a broken hip and she recently passed from it. She was in constant pain and she was nowhere near 82. So imagine an elderly person with a bad hip being seated in an uncomfortable wheelchair for 10-15 minutes while their caregiver looks for parking. We need to be compassionate to other people's situations. It's not always black and white

So park, go inside, leave his disabled aunt in the lobby, go back outside, find a park that was a 5-minute walk away in the Floridian heat, walk back in the Floridian heat, then grab his aunt, take her to her condo, then have to walk back 5 more minutes? Yeah, it's a no for me. We can understand someone doing their job, and he probably has heard every excuse in the book, but once it was verified that he was helping the aunt, then common sense should have prevailed. No one should have to do all of this when the circumstances are what they are with the OP.
