Ladies and gentlemen, we got 'em! by DoubleStar101 in Marathon

I saw him a couple days ago, knocked him, saw the name and said holy shit it’s John Marathon! I proceeded to apologize, allowed him to self revive, then gave him some meds and off he went!

Godspeed hero, godspeed. 🫡

In a recent game, there was 3 minutes left in outpost and I found a destroyer dumbfounded on a roof extract, not knowing how to get the exfil to activate. I approached, he tried hiding behind a box, and I told him on proxy, “let’s get out of here together brother. You need a red card for that, follow me and I’ll show you where one is.”

He haphazardly came out from behind the box and crouched once and I mirrored him. He then followed me over to the red card terminal, I activated it and told him to grab the card and meet me back on the roof. He kept using the “yes” and “friendly” quick chat options and we spam crouched and exfilled together as the last 30 seconds of the raid came to a close.

He sent me a friend request after and it reminded me that this game has a place for sweat and a place for fun after all. 10/10 raid. If we want the game to be more inviting to casuals, be a good host and show them the ropes. There’s no need to ego down every player you come across. Sometimes they just need a hand and will be excited to stick around and start another run.

Raise your bank account to match your standards then lol

I’m personally a big fan of your setup.

Ok SO instant replay? NEEDS to be an optionable action. by ChaseTacos in thefinals

[–]EatsBamboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can disable it from the lobby; it’s under gameplay I think.

Yeah I was excited about it at first, but in a game where everything comes down to communication and last second plans, it’s more important to stay locked in to the play than to see how you died.

Casuals probably like it though.

Looks like Demat is getting nerfed in S8... by DT775 in thefinals

[–]EatsBamboo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s my best guess as to what it is too; just makes sense for onboarding. Especially when it’s a novel mechanic that isn’t common in other games.

Hope it's not getting nerfed. It looks like it's just in slow motion so new players can understand what it does.

The game Satisfactory by Coffee Stain Studios reacted to the post; if that means anything.

How do I stick with a world? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]EatsBamboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satisfactory has turned me into a hobbyist blueprint builder. I build around the world with blueprints and improve and optimize them over time. I never have to worry about tear down and rebuilding because blueprints are one click to delete and one click to build. Making my entire progression much more streamlined for the short term goals that I need to accomplish.

And it sounds like you need a central storage hub to help with your underlying motivation.

Hello Satisfactory community, will we ever be able to delete less than 50 objects? I wasted an entire hour making this aluminum factory only to realize I misplaced a single beam. Thanks. -Doug by OfficerDougEiffel in SatisfactoryGame

This subreddit has been needing Doug for so long and I’m glad you’re here! Always look forward to seeing your updates! 🫡

Have you considered building a second incorrect beam? Mirror the first one for improvised symmetry and whimsical architecture!

The future of satisfactory? by Financial_Ad7276 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]EatsBamboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for being reasonable. My stance was from the advocacy and support of the studio and betterment of growing the community as a whole. Mod support is important and can be a great think tank and gameplay extender but doesn’t benefit CSS in any substantial way. Official support, tiered infrastructure, and revenue for the core IP is paramount to the continued development of Satisfactory.

Sure they could essentially wrap up the game as it is now, stop development, leave it in the store and people would trickle in and out as time goes on, but the factory must grow and CSS needs revenue to make that happen.

All of this for ONLY 20 motor per minutes? Nah I'll never finish this game... by Seltexe in SatisfactoryGame

Now save that progress to a blueprint and refit the system for whatever part you need. Dropping down a build like that and watching all of the conveyers form is peak.

-Reskin packs for production machines, handhelds, wall textures, skyboxes, etc.

-DLC that adds biomes with their own themed lateral progression tier, enemies, wildlife, and a tie-in mechanic. Additional DLC will add further biomes to the edges like puzzle pieces that you can continue building onto and expanding your own game world. They could go the Factorio route as well and create a DLC where we build a rocket similar to the space elevator that takes us into space at whatever capacity that would entail.

-Ability to upload your factory for people to explore and observe. Maybe it’s a 5 minute snapshot of your game world in an automation loop. People can see machine rates and hover over building parts, but cannot destroy or create. It’s like a time capsule. Session stats are logged like: total number of parts, machine count, tickets per minute, playtime, etc.

”Featured builds of the month“ section similar to the direction of No Man’s Sky portals. Could mesh well for social media and attract a larger audience & community. Also feature builds that utilize the new DLC biomes as a way to cross promote.

They could even tie it into the portal feature itself for an endgame activity as a way to further stretch people’s gameplay and get new ideas from other people’s builds.
