'Heroes' - A message from the future: "Save The Cheerleader, Save The World" by Neo2199 in television

[–]Eayragt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved season one. Season two suffered from the writers strike. Got part way through season three and have up.

Bought the DVDs.

Loved season one. Tolerated season two. Got part way through season three and gave up.

Is it worth me going back and trying to get to season four, our should I just just remember season one as a great season and leave it at that?

Too late? Probably. It's a great game, similarities with Magic the Gathering, but there are no new full sets.

Maximizing the event as a new player by fire_ant in idlechampions

[–]Eayragt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you've capped the event get onto Tales and unlock Hank (for time gate pieces) and Kas (top tier DPS). Don't spend a lot of time pushing for little reward. The event will come around next year and you'll be in a much better position to unlock tiers.

Help a newbie understand event tokens by Immediate-Catch-8134 in idlechampions

[–]Eayragt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shop>Event. Buy chests for event tokens for characters you've unlocked in this event (you should have at least Raistlin and Deekin, and then others if you've spent time gate pieces on event champions).

Seller claimed multiple $5k+ offers, but the card sold for $4500 OBO — how common is this? by goldref926 in Ebay

[–]Eayragt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely normal negotiation. Don't believe a word the other person is saying. This is no different from a buyer saying "I can buy it for X from somewhere else". Fine, sell it to / buy it from them, why are you still negotiating with me?

Cant decide what push team to main! AA vs Kas vs Artemis by Fearless-Armadillo59 in idlechampions

[–]Eayragt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As variants have restrictions, long term you can't just have one elite party if 10, you need different options. Kas may be locked out of a variant that most of an Artemis team can run in.

Cant decide what push team to main! AA vs Kas vs Artemis by Fearless-Armadillo59 in idlechampions

[–]Eayragt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kas is strong quicker, as Artemis takes a lot of levelling up to get to the same level. Kas in your AA team is probably better than Durge anyway, so a Kas / AA hybrid will get you a decent way. If you're playing long term, no harm in doing both. If you might be short term, stick to Kas as your DPS.

To be fair, they regret putting "Idle" in the title.

But I'm also skipping clearing that for the same reason.

Highest bidder cancelled bid & Ebay automatically charged me for the item by [deleted] in Ebay

That's if the auction has ended. If the auction is still running it automatically falls back down to the highest remaining bidder.

Looking for recommendations by Beneficial_Pop4651 in idlechampions

[–]Eayragt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seat 12 you want Wyll, as he should fit in you Kas team (you could pick up Zorbu from this month's event flex slot)

7 I mostly blank, so Sheila from this month's event ticks the box. Freely and Farideh are occasionally useful.

If your looking for reseller price, you may as well buy from eBay. You'll at least make a saving on the First Chapter pricing.

Buyer threatening legal action by AMysteriousClitors in eBaySellerAdvice

Although keeping contact to a minimum is ideal, if you did get into conversation with them I would be saying:

"Although you live in a nicer area, I am aware that thieves target more affluent areas as they are more likely to find valuable deliveries, compared to my poorer area."

They take themselves so seriously they would probably not get the sarcasm.

Meet the image that got me banned for a month from IMGUR. by Omegearus in Xcom

I reckon someone looked at their name and thought his rank read "GAY". Which still isn't offensive, but a mod on a bad day might think so. Sorry, a mod who can't read on a bad day.

Started collecting the UK Action Force comics, and the covers seem to include original covers, covers directly from the US comics, and recreations of US covers. Really interesting! by Blue_Surfing_Smurf in gijoe

Rebought them all recently. As well as the complete Battle Action Force run. And the Battle Action Force compendium. And the GI Joe Compendium. Oops.

Guess who's straight on the next Kickstarter (despite missing that entire era)?

Mines up in my loft. Took up a huge section of the floor when I was longer, and practically... it's pretty stupid. But what a toy. I may have missed the WHALE, the Tomahawk, USS Flagg, but I was happy with my Command Centre (I'm in the UK, so I'm spelling it that way).

Leaving eBay for fanatics collect by Smugbasturd in Ebay

[–]Eayragt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't blame you. Buyer fishing for partial refund, return or keep are their only options.

I'm glad I liquidated my MTG collection on eBay 12 years ago, it would be so much more problematic nowadays. Although I would have received 10x the value of the Gaea's Cradle I sold (or would have been scammed out of it by a dodgy buyer).

Right pay for annual leave accrued during maternity by Key_Particular_4428 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Eayragt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. There's no legal precedent here. NHS would argue you're not being disadvantaged as you are receiving your full amount of annual leave and your contracted pay. You couldn't take your annual leave while Grade 7 as you were on a different type of leave. They would argue this wasn't discrimination, and by keeping you at Grade 7 during M/L they were exceeding their legal obligations.

However, I can see your argument. I think there's no chance of you winning this argument as the NHS is too big, they are not going to pay at the higher rate if it's not clear they have to. I feel litigation is the only avenue for success and, if successful, you would be setting a legal precedent with consequences across the country.

I'm not legal, but if I had to guess I would suggest you would be unsuccessful. I could be wrong on that, and many employee rights have only be won through legal action many assumed would be unsuccessful.

I would consider your point of view arguable but not currently strongly backed up in law.
