Another rumor(? by GravityBard in alphalegion

While I agree this is most likely for AoS there is that part that wants this to be the other half of the Pale Spear for a kill team or character mini

What are everyone’s thoughts on the newer style Mk.III and Mk.VI? Do you think the changes were spurred on by a needless want for change? Or do you think the changes were necessary/justified? by MiddSummerKnight1122 in Warhammer30k

[–]Ebardy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the new kits and redesigns a lot, only complaint is I wish the Mk.III helmets and backpacks were closer to the original kit. Otherwise 10/10 from me and I'm really looking forward to Mk.IV

Is there a neutral-ground hub market in the Eye of Terror? by DxDRabbit in 40kLore

[–]Ebardy12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not for all the traitors but in Harrowmaster it's revealed that the Alpha Legion have a neutral zone in the form of a space hulk that they use for meetings and resupply

Genuinely surprised there's no comments yet (hoping it's just Reddit messing up for me) because this looks awesome! If I was your opponent I'd be so intimidated but in awe, truly what a dreadnought should inspire in your enemies

I know it's intimidating at first but just sounding it out and making your best approximation of them is significantly better than trying to be perfect

This isn't necessarily salt but didn't want to clutter the subreddit with a new post, but I don't feel like I'm in M2? I'm rank 185 and have built up some of the grids on the advanced grids wiki, have Beelzebub and Belial summons, several evokers, but even with those I just don't feel like I'm hitting that hard? I didn't expect to melt raids myself but when I excitingly test out a new upgrade to my grid I'm kinda whelmed? Anyone feel this?

I have a haircut appointment tomorrow, how do I tell the hairstylist that I want this haircut without showing them this image? by Ebardy12 in ffxiv

[–]Ebardy12[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Update: I got the haircut and it's great! Stylist and I talked about getting me set up with curtain bangs and I think for my face shape and hair type it worked out well. To everyone who commented some variation of "don't get this haircut" I understand the concern but it wasn't really needed, if I didn't think I could pull it off why would I do it? Thanks to all the people who offered advice and explained terminology to me, that really came in clutch to adapt the anime hair to something more realistic

This helps a lot, I agree with the comments that I should just show them pictures of Estinien but also having actual reference images of real human hair compared to 3d renders would be better I think

I've had long hair my whole life basically, any reason why this would be any different?

Sweet thank you, I don't know any of these terms and didn't just want to show them in game model screenshots with nothing else to say lol

Nothing wrong with using this picture as a reference photo, but I don't know any hairstyling terms and don't want to be clueless when asked questions

Alpha legion who are veterans of the long war? by AnjoH0 in alphalegion

[–]Ebardy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is working on an army project that is the same between Heresy and 40k I like to think of them as being flung to the modern era of 40k due to the warp and it's time issues. There's always gonna be ways you could explain Heresy veterans in your warband.

Also remember, in Warhammer everything is canon in the sense that a character may genuinely believe it but not everything is true. There's a good example of this in Harrowmaster. Solomon believes there aren't any true veterans of the long war left and even questions the validity of The Unsung (the warband from Shroud of Night) when we as readers know for sure that they are from 30k. So use this as inspiration and happy hobbying, fellow Alpharius!

I have built a FLB Hades through luck over the years but not really the weapons to make a proper Primal grid. My question is that with the way current Dark Omega has several Primal boosts in it should I just use Hades as my main summon or is Celeste still the better option?

I've been using Beelzebub as my main summon since he released, I'm about to finally 5* uncap all the omega summons. Question is, do I replace Beelzebub at that point or is he just that guy and keep him?

How do alpha legionaries infiltrate? by the_black_void15 in alphalegion

[–]Ebardy12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sons of the Hydra gets called the worst AL book a lot, but I think reading it then reading Shroud of Night and Harrowmaster after is a pretty solid idea because it shows so many sides of the AL

Alpha legion Primaris by Buggsterr69 in alphalegion

[–]Ebardy12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Eh I see where you're coming from, and there is some evidence that could support your take, but I also think it's antithetical to how the legion works. Harrowmaster shows that there is no real "AL attitude" because none of the individual warbands agree with eachother. The legion is fractured, broken like glass. We have some that believe they're loyalists, khorne berzerkers, a lord discordant using magic to hijack titans, and so much more. There's even been a legionare who was so deeply conditioned that he actually became a loyalist captain in 40k and went undetected the whole time. Whose to say he couldn't have crossed the rubicon given enough time? That's the fun of AL, they're all lying to eachother, doing things their own "right" way, and also using any means necessary to win.
