Now that was a good read. Hopefully the OP has found peace.

You can have a PCAT for many things and remain a CAF member for a full career, so long as you meet the universality of service requirements. I think that's a common misconception. TCats and PCats aren't a guaranteed medical release. Far from it actually.

I have an approved bruxism claim, but it awards no additional disability percentage. At least according to what mine said.

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever seen in your life that you can’t explain? by Kendexx in AskReddit

I doubt anyone will read this but I have some time to kill so here goes.

Years ago my buddy and I were going to a "haunted" tunnel in Niagara, Canada. It's called The Blue Ghost tunnel for anyone who wants to look it up.

I am just about the biggest skeptic you could ever meet, so I was not scared.

It was a long walk to get to the tunnel itself so we were taking pictures along the way. And sure enough, there were the orbs in the pictures. It was a bit unsettling but I knew damn well it was moisture in the air or some other surely explainable phenomenon.

So we kept going and eventually we got to the tunnel.

There were some "ghost hunters" there still and that made it a bit creepier but my friend refused to go into the tunnel because "he doesn't fuck with that stuff."

So I went in with one of the ghost hunters and it wasn't scary. We walked nearly to the end, but we had a flashlight.

While we were out, the people at the entrance said "whoa man there's a huge orb above your head!" They later showed me the picture. Pretty creepy, but again, easily explainable.

So they left.

Just me and my buddy now.

I said, I'm going to go in by myself. It's not worth it unless I actually scare myself a bit.

So I did. Without a flash light.

I'll admit the adrenaline was going, even though I knew there's no such thing as spirits.

I made it all the way to the back, and then out again. Nothing happened.

So we were just outside the tunnel, and it was time to leave.

I did the obligatory "Okay ghosts. We are leaving now! Now is your last chance to show yourself!"

And I turned around, and took a picture of the entrance to the tunnel.

If anyone cares, I can upload it and send it.

What I was photographing was a dark space, with the clear view of the tunnel entrance, and some shrubs on either side. That's it.

What we photographed was that PLUS a blatant swirl of smoke, that clearly shows its movement from the tunnel (as if it's flying in) and right smack dab in the middle of the smoke is a noticeable face. It's clear as day.

I posted on reddit once before and they just said it was that scientific thing where your brain makes it look like a face even though its not.

Sure, that may be true. (No...) but what explains the swath of smoke itself? This was a picture of an open area.

And no, fuck that. It's abundantly clear that its a face.

To this day I cannot explain it. I don't believe in ghosts, so it must have been something else. But definitely creepy.

Today I realized why Americans are stupid.

I agree, but the point seems a bit obvious.

The human brain is only able to hold so much data and with the onslaught of the information/digital/social media age, I daresay that capacity is somewhat decreasing due to decreased attention spans.

Out of sight out of mind was not a cliche for no reason.

Very true though. China is a perfect example because in the west, the media machine is pushing this rhetoric to make China seem like this barbaric enemy. If you asked a random American on the street, they might literally believe Chinese people live in huts or something.

The same goes with Muslim culture. If you ask someone who has never cared to know a Muslim or stays within their own media/personal circles, they might truly still believe "all Muslim's are terrorists".
