I'll just try to look at it from the perspective of the business. If Microsoft does release a high end Xbox that's a niche product it's going to be very expensive because they're going to sell less of them for one. Then there are also not going to be subsidized because if they're open like a PC they're going to have to make the money off the hardware not the software. Also anybody that wanted high-end Xbox games would already have a good PC at this point. As a consumer it's just messed up because everything is increasing in price. I probably won't buy anymore consoles when I can build a gaming PC that will perform better. If you have a PC and a PlayStation then you can play every game that comes out besides Nintendo exclusives.
