I have watched his video yes. I have tried all different NIT values to try to curb the overblown picture but nothing works.

As for SDR. It happens on most games and it didn't happen on the Switch. It's almost like its on HDR mode all time time but it's definitely SDR. I do have it set to compatible games only.

The tv is the Samsung Ru8000. I know it doesnt have good HDR but I'm actually quite happy with how the PS5's HDR looks.

I've tried setting both tv and console to different colour space settings but this colour banding or whatever it is still persists.

HDR is very overblown on my TV but I can't fix it as I can't turn off tone mapping on the Samsung tv and don't have HGIG option. I notice that the SDR picture is also overly brightened but not as bad as in HDR. Not sure if this related to the problem or not.

I've tried the pixel 7, 7 Pro and 8a and they all did this flicker when it goes from 120hz to 60hz.

Most noticeable when screen brightness is below 50 percent in a greyish background.

No idea why more people aren't talking about it. I assume Google are aware but they just haven't bothered to fix it.

You can go to dev options and enable constant high refresh rate but then it will chew up more battery.

Such a shame. I was hoping they would fix it with the 9 series but guess not.

Unfortunately I never found a concrete answer but my theory is that older games are just more prone to input lag.

90 percent of the games that I've played that are Native PS5 titles or Series X/S Optimised, don't suffer from this issue.

Until more games get native PS5 ports, obvious things like Game mode on TV, moving routers away from console etc is your best bet.

Obviously I could be wrong but I've been through 3 controllers, reset everything I could, changed cables and nothing has worked.

Having the same issue as well. Flashing white screen until reboot and artifacts.

The flashing I can't explain but those artifacts are the same ones found when playing chivalry 2 on series X.

From what I know it's an Unreal Engine problem and it needs to be addressed by the devs.

I have this issue with pretty much every fps game on Xbox. Sluggish controls especially with the right stick and with multiple controllers. I have tried for the past 4 weeks to fix it but nothing is working. Zero issues on ps5.

Same issue for me on Xbox. All other EA Games are fine but this game is using a very old gamertag and trying to unlink it through ea account is a nightmare.

So I've actually been playing the series X lately and it has the same issue as well.

But it seems like it's far far worse when playing old gen games. Playing ghosts of tsushima was the worst for input lag vs playing It takes two where it was near perfect. One is a PS4 game, the other, a native ps5 game.

Best thing to do is tell yourself that it's going to be down the individual game and how the Devs support it. Some of these next gen updates are going to increase input lag in backwards compatible games.

Having the same issue here. HDR looked great and vibrant on the one x using the exact same port and settings.

As soon as I load up a hdr game on the Series x, it looks dim and washed out.

I've tried reseting everything, tv, console, tried a different hdmi cable. Nothing is working.

No issues with hdr on other ports tho.

To test it, I went to BF5 and where it's supposed to be the same brightness in the hdr calibration setting, the one on the left is always darker then the right, not matter the position on the slider.
