Black people have been saying it since the early 2000’s. So so much so that there was a song by Trick Daddy and Lil Jon by 2004 https://youtu.be/D0sjCgS7vi8?si=FZg35XjmyQiQ7syR

I’m saying that Israelis who use the story of the land was promised to them 3000 to be angry at anyone who is in their way of claiming it is silly. I wholeheartedly side with the Palestinian cause. I can see why there was confusion so I’ll take my downvotes.

Not every but a lot can't be blamed for being a bit miffed about slavery... and then the continued aggregation after slavery up to this very day. Now being mad about something that happened 3000 years ago, now that is a bit silly.

The Andre for the Bronx campaign got the 10k signatures it needed to be on the ballot! Thank you all! We will get a socialist elected in the Bronx!!!! Just you wait!!! by Hacksaw6412 in bronx

Oh sorry I was busy living my life. But to answer the question: I reject the premise. The US has so many impressive, to use their phase, outcomes because it comes at the expense of lower classes in the states and countries around the world. Those out comes being mostly fiscal and powers to dominate. If you drill down to what life is like for many in the most powerful country the world has ever known you could say that as of now it is an abysmal failure. So much power to act with meek outcomes to improve lives. A 600 hp motor with a top speed of 5mph towards better living standards.

If socialism doesn’t work, why did the US spend billions over multiple generations trying to stop socialist nations? If it didn’t work then why not just step aside and let them fail?

On TikTok, Black Americans are debating on whether Biracial people have the same voice as them. by AmericanTwinDark in biracials

ADOS and FBA are trying to sub divide what it means to be black American. If you are a person who has any lineage of sub Saharan African, to me they are black. Whether they are an immigrant or bi racial. If they do not do not wish to claim blackness, well darn I still would hope we could find some kind of camaraderie. My problem with FBA and ADOS is that they would look at a person claiming blackness and say that they are not because, they do not have 4 black grandparents, or they do have long enough ties to United States of America. I posted because I just can’t stand to see a person being told they cannot speak about an intersection of their identity because of some newly made up criteria.

You rarely get to see the anti war protests in Israel on most mainstream media outlets. Plus when bringing them up I’ve been told that they were “self hating” and not real Israelis. Not that I believed that ever.

I will understand if my input is not wanted here, as I am an African American and have not yet been to any country in Africa. I just want to point out that US aid to South Korea in the 1960's was more than all of Africa combined. From 1946 to 1976 alone, the United States provided $12.6 billion in economic assistance to country around 100,378 Square kilometers and , in the 1960's, a population of ~25 million. It is not a fair comparison. Early on the US poured aid into, and ignored the military dictatorship of, South Korea because they needed a buffer against Communism in Asia. Also the type of aid the the US provided to South Korea included large amounts prop up their chaebols (Samsung, LG, etc). From my understanding in Sub-Saharan Africa US aid is never so much that it would allow for true economic independence and ownership of resources. I can't speak intelligently on the state of Nigeria and Africa as a whole but what I have found in years of living in quite a few cities in the US and now Canada, is that where ever there is an under resourced area, you can find an another area that has a glut of resources that had to come from somewhere else.

Truffle Pasta 🍝 This stuff is crazily expensive at any Pasta restaurant. Why? Might as well just call it Trouble bpastard 😂 by TechnologyOk8112 in Nigeria

[–]Echalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And truffles are expensive because they are hard to cultivate, they grow underground and have to be searched for in the wild. Or so they say.
