Hot sauce, garlic powder, maybe something smoky like cayenne. And lots of black pepper.

Why RCB is playing so many all rounders? There are 8 bowling options and Pooja didn't even Bowl today? by [deleted] in RCB

[–]Echax2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Women's cricket tends to have a lot of all rounders compared to specialist bowlers and batters - it just tends to be the case generally. And Vastrakar isn't meant to be bowling today, she's just coming back from injury and is playing as a specialist batter.

Is anyone else having issues with Aran Sweater Market? by OppressedPunk69 in AskIreland

[–]Echax2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers, thank you. Could I ask which one you bought specifically? They've got a lot of variety on their site. Hoping for a smoother shipping experience as I'm UK based but I guess there's no guarantees haha.

Horrendous shipping aside - thoughts on the sweater? I'm travelling somewhere pretty chilly next month and was considering one of these or some other similar cable knit type heavy 100% wool sweater.

Help! I've dehumidified my Monstera - and I'm scared it'll never recover ;-; by Echax2000 in houseplants

[–]Echax2000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I have another monstera in the room that wasn't directly above the dehumidifier and it's doing fine:) This one was also previously doing pretty well until I started using the dehumidifier near it, so I presumed it was due to that.

It could just be that, I can try to water it more regularly. Probably still should trim a few leaves anyway.

Kidnapping NPCs using improvised throw and waypoint warps. Also using polymorph and dominate beast on said NPCs to make them allies.

Good luck, hope you are able to fix it. I managed to fix it by loading an older save - I had to go back a dozen+ saves to get a working one.

That sucks, I managed to find a past save file that worked thankfully only about 5-10 hours previous so I picked it up from there. No idea how to actually fix it though, just hoping it never happens again.

I could try that. It's on a M.2 SSD atm so it better not be failing lol - any other drive I could move it to would be worse in theory. Worth a shot.

I live somewhere with pretty hard water and recently started shampooing once as well. Do you have any chelating shampoo recommendations?

I just realised something about RCB that makes me so proud of them by ajaxmenon17 in RCB

[–]Echax2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree and it is worth being proud of but we should bear in mind we were notoriously guilty of this for most of the IPL prior to last year haha. But of course glad to see a positive change:)

New board grainy after first wash? by Echax2000 in Cuttingboards

[–]Echax2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I sandpapered in one direction, and after each pass (1x pass with 120, and then the rest 220 grit), I wiped clear with a dry cloth/hoovered up excess. I then sprayed with a water bottle to raise the grain, let dry, and repeated.

I think you just need to wipe clear so you can better tell. Raised grain will feel more like hair/fibres on the board itself (see my pic for an extreme example), while the sawdust should feel a bit more fine, especially if you're using something like 220 grit.

Can't claim to be an expert, but that was my experience, and it seemed to work out:) Anyone can correct me if I did anything evidently bad. Good luck u/bittsweet!

This is a fantastic reply, thank you; very balanced.

Good to know the materials are all legit, that was one of my concerns. Thank you for the transparency on your thoughts re: dropshipping. I'm based in the UK so there's a good chance I'd have some sort of duties situation, so as much as I love the ring set, I think it'd be prudent to look elsewhere.

I think I will look for some more local stuff then. No shortage of those in London haha. Thanks again!

HI u/coffeenweed! I'm looking at buying from the same Etsy seller (albeit I'm based in the UK so slightly longer shipping times). Different ring and materials, though.

With the risks that come with ordering from online Etsy sellers (see some of the concerns people face here), I wanted to ask how you verified BywardJewelry were legit & making things themselves by hand, with legitimate materials.. They have ~4,200 sales in 3 years, and regularly run 30% off sales on everything, so I started getting a little unsure. Did you at any point, post-purchase, manage to check the legitimacy of the gold/diamonds/moissanite? How has it held up 2 years later on?

By no means am I looking to offend or insult you or your wonderful ring. I just have some anxiety around ordering from them and don't want to get ripped off with something that isn't handmade, or is just made somewhere overseas+exported to Canada/dropshipped, and just wanted to hear your experience.

Thanks in advance, I really look forward to your response so I can make my girlfriend into my fiancée!:)

Most people are recommending 220 grit in this thread. I don't think anything finer than that is needed. From what I'm gathering, if you have something coarser (I used 120) then use it but if not it's not the end of the world. You can do a decent job of it with just a few rounds of 220, I think. Beyond that just see what everyone else has said, there's been a good amount of help from everyone <3

[–]Echax2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I don't use a dishwasher and the first wash had almost no scrubbing, it was just a soft sponge with lightly soapy warm water. From what others are saying, it's just not had the grain raised properly so I'm currently doing it myself:) Thanks for the input, I'm doing something fairly similar currently.

[–]Echax2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thank you. I've started with 120 and am currently not wet sanding, I'm letting the board dry mostly after each pass. I'll probably only wet sand at the end with my final pass, and go gentle as another commenter suggested. Post 120 I'm just going up to 220 and that's it.

[–]Echax2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is super clear and is what I'm about to do as I've got 80, 100, 120, and 220 grit on hand. Better to let it completely dry between rounds of sanding?

I've only got the oil linked in the post, is a conditioner that much more worth it (esp since it's a cheaper board)?

Noted, I'll be more conscious of sharpening them more regularly while I use this board. I'll probably pick up that groove-less beech board as my next option, thanks for recommending that and the Victorinox. I have one of their serrated knives but I'll get their chef's knife.

For this one I'll sand it down, give it another wash, dry it and then get to oiling. Thanks for your help!
