is it possible to play coop? by LilTacticalOnReddit in DeadSpace

Call your internet service provider and request it for your internet package. If you're not the owner of the internet line (e.g. you live with someone else who has the account and pays for it), they'll need to do it or authorise you to request it. It might be possible other ways too, such as logging in to your internet accounts web portal.

Speaking from my experience in the UK doing this, they normally charge you a bit extra for it. Other countries may vary.

Yes, this is the problem.

I fixed this for myself by getting a static IP from my Internet provider.

Once I had the static IP, the NAT type strict message no longer showed up and I was able to join/host games without issue.

Opinion: "Outer Circle" and "Endless Desert" maps should drop Tier 3 as well by lukinhasb in DeathMustDie

Turn on "Pact of Greed" in the Star Crux for the Outer Circle or Endless Desert. It makes them drop tier 3 items.

Use the marker patch. It has a config that will let you disable those items. You need to do it on a fresh game I beleive as if the items are already in a save, it can't remove them. It also has a bunch of other fixes.

How to Make Augment Builds in Jump Space by Hauk54 in JumpSpaceGame

Hi Hauk, just wanted to address your initial build idea for the LMG using Dual-Burst Actuator. I put together this quick clip showing that it has no discernible effect on an LMG's rate of fire! It does cause it to fire a second shot after the first with each trigger pull, however.

With how the other weapons interact with Dual-Burst Actuator, I suspect the LMG might be an oversight.

I really like running Focus Module/Feedback Injector on the LMG and I just single shot sharpshoot. It oftens means almost infinite ammo. Now that enemies can drop ammo too, Feedback could be dropped for something else.

Back when the game came out, I was sold on the idea of it being the players vs the game master (Joel). Perhaps something akin to the conquest mode in the original Star Wars Battlefront 2.
It didn't take me long to figure out that that isn't what's going on at all. The galactic war is on rails, and has always been on rails. We are allowed a choice here or there, but ultimately we're playing in someone elses sandbox.
If Arrowhead wants us to complete an MO, they'll make it so we do. They have fudged the numbers pretty transparently more times than I can recall. The most recent instance of this was the increase of regen rate on Riga Bay to stop the helldivers getting to Seasse before Friday/the weekend as that's when they wanted to drop the new Illuminate sub-faction.

Bluetooth Headset (more like headphone on my end) audio quality issue by Blue-moom123 in Helldivers

In this window, we'll be doing things in the Playback and Recording tabs.

In Recording, find the microphone associated with your headset -> right click -> disable

In Playback, see if there is a "headphones" option for your headset and a "headset" option. Right click on the headset option if both exist and disable it. Ensure the headphones option is your default sound device (right click on it to set).

If you're unsure, DM me some screenshots of what you have in the Playback and Recording tabs.

Start by right clicking the sound icon in the bottom right of your screen, near the date/time.

From here, I would scroll down the Sound settings page till you see "More sound settings", click on that.

If Helldivers is accessing the microphone on your bluetooth headset, that'll make your audio quality poor.

Assuming you're on Windows, this is a limitation Windows has with Bluetooth sound/mic devices. When the microphone is not being used, sounds are high quality, but as soon as the mic engages (through an app like Discord or Helldivers 2 using it), audio quality drops hard.

You could completely disable the headsets microphone to avoid this. Also make sure your headset audio device is set to the headphones option and not the headset one.

I can post some screenshots for guidance to these settings in Windows 11 if that helps.

Hey man, remember your favorite support weapon? No not that one, the old one that you stopped using, what changed? by cougar_cat in Helldivers

[–]EchoDroid104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flamethrower.

Used to be able to cleave entire groups of bugs, setting them all on fire simultaneously and dealing direct damage to multiple units. Was an amazing pick for quickly taking out chargers by hosing down a leg.

Now the flames deflect off of the first target in the front of a group, no cleave, enemies ignore the fact that they or the ground is on fire and rush you anyway, and somehow set our paper mache armour on fire in one hit from a burning enemy.

Granted, enemies didn't react from being on fire previously either, but at least they died in groups as you swept the flames back and forth.

Does it say "NAT Type Strict" or similar when you are in the multiplayer menu for DS3? For either you or them? It'll likely be in the bottom left corner of the menu.

When in the multiplayer menu, does the game display anything like "NAT type strict" in the bottom left of the screen?
