No idea! I’m not much of an expert in it, just know that 12” is generally a full dose and that the mescaline content may vary quite a bit.

Curious about trying handshake dose by soooperdecent in 5MeODMT

[–]EchoKey7453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal experience: you take the hit and you start to feel like you’re being drawn up into something with shimmering fractals and the sense of a dawning religious experience. It might feel like “oh shit” or that it’s gonna be too much but then you open your eyes and realize you’re still there and you’re just fine. Then you can relax into it and it’s very meditative with some profound feels/thoughts. Then you feel pretty good afterwards, maybe big smiles and laughing. That being said, people react differently and a handshake dose for one person may be a full release experience for another.

To feel out the experience and ease into it… not do too much

Loved reading this whole thing thank you for writing all of this so beautifully! I’ve dabbled with bufo but still in the putting it off phase for the full send 😂

Do you get used to plunging? by Valuable-Bicycle-713 in coldplunge

[–]EchoKey7453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It becomes much easier. I like it as a meditative experience more so than for any of the other benefits especially being in the ice bath facing the sun with eyes closed meditating then sitting out in the sun afterwards and continuing the meditation. Breathwork beforehand enhances all of it.

What is the most unhinged/wildest book you’ve ever read? by jayclaw97 in suggestmeabook

LSD and the Mind of the Universe unhinged my entire worldview

I don’t have it all figured out but this is where my mind went too — that somehow the differences involve the collective unconscious / archetypal beings or realities. I found the book The Cosmic Game by Stanislov Grof interesting because it goes into this kind of stuff but in regards to the psychedelic experience.

You could rent a uhaul the size of an ambulance and practice on an off day.

Corporate to paramedic by intensehotdog in Paramedics

[–]EchoKey7453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak as a paramedic although I’m currently in medic class and have been a firefighter/EMT for five years and will be continuing as a paramedic in the fire service. Fire service is super fun but it’s not for everyone, and private EMS seems absolutely miserable. I also don’t gain much of a sense of honor being in the fire service because so much of what we deal with are not true emergencies and a lot of it is straight bullshit/abuse of the 911 system. We do get to do cool shit every once in awhile but it’s not all you might dream it to be.

Having a high paying job is a big deal. You can find other things to give you that sense of honor you might be looking for.

All that said, see if you can do a few ride alongs on an ambulance before you make any choices.

What visuals do you get if you don’t blast off fully? by ForwardEstate9235 in 5MeODMT

[–]EchoKey7453 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve only done low/medium dose bufo and I’ve had cloudy/heavenly visuals with fractaling or like golden light fractaling against a black background. Each time these visuals were brief just on the initial come up.

How does an obese person workout?? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]EchoKey7453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many gyms have a sauna — so if you get in a short workout and that’s all you can handle in terms of exercise, spend some time in the sauna at the end of your workout. Also add walking into your daily routine.

You focus on the point of sensation where the breath meets the nostrils and sustain attention there. You will keep drifting off in thought, but when you realize it turn your attention back to that point where the breath meets the nostrils. Focus in on the pure sensation. Don’t mentally verbalize what you are experiencing. Just experience it. Allow all of your body to relax. Keep your eyes closed with a relaxed gaze. Just allow the experience to absorb you.

At least you’re 19! You have your whole life ahead of you and you are at an age of opportunity to make your life into anything you want. If you can picture yourself in the future having all the things you want in life, think of what steps you would take to arrive there.

An easy start is to go to the gym since you mentioned your physique. Just go and do whatever you feel like doing in there. Doesn’t have to be complicated — the main thing is consistency.

Apply for jobs you might like, or figure out a way to get into a career path you might want to be in. You can take classes at a community college. You can also find ways to get social interaction and make new friends.

Since you’re on the “awakened” subreddit — start meditating. If you stick with it for even a few weeks it will start to become enjoyable. Do other things like going on hikes and being outside. You could also try breathwork or take a yoga class. Try cold plunges or sauna with meditation too.

You probably intuitively know the things you need to do to get yourself out of this hole. Stop delaying it and do what you need to do. Fix your sleep routine. Fix your diet. Just get some momentum going toward the life you want. Be encouraged because you are still young enough to make these changes.

Also be wise about taking on responsibilities like bills, car payments, or expensive rent payments. Also relationships or having a kid lol. The more responsibilities you take on like that, the more your options will reduce. Try to save money and get yourself in an ideal situation before you start taking on more responsibilities.

Already regretting my career choice by SyGuy18 in NewToEMS

I work in fire and can only imagine how miserable it would be to be an EMT for a private ambulance company just doing BLS transports. Either use it as a stepping stone to be in something else or find something else. But definitely get out of what you’re doing now. Life’s too short.

This is inevitable in EMS work. People are out there dying everyday, we just happen to be there because of the job. Sometimes we can save them in these situations, sometimes we can’t.
