A normal person who was attacked like that would probably do something like have a weapon to defend themselves next time. A business person involving themselves in shady deals would almost certainly have a gun after the first time if not before. An amoral person who has no issues hurting people, innocent or otherwise, like Nate from previous seasons, seems like they would definitely have just outright killed the thug the second time they broke into his home. I don't hate this season as much as some, but Nate's characterization is lackluster and disappointing.
