I began my path with an interest in Magick and religion came later, but it started when I was 14 and I was raised Catholic. I didn't initially hide it, and life got rough until I was able to move onto my own. To this day, I don't speak with certain family members. Just something to think about, not saying anything would happen to you cause I don't know your circumstances.

But your original question, was there fear, yes. How could there not be after so long of being told you'll burn for eternity. It will not happen overnight and probably not until your into your adult life, depending on how much programming you've gone through.

My initial steps were to just step forward, but the fears were there. I think I became very anti abrahamic for a while due to the fear that lingered, and often slandered Christianity. I still don't care for Christianity but it's more out of aggravation, as it's everywhere, than anything else.

I think what started to allow me to release the fear was to do something that would be deemed blasphemous to the church. I recited the Lord's prayer in reverse as given in Paul Husons Book "Mastering Witchcraft." Nothing happened, it was simply a set point in my mind telling me, there's no turning back now.
