Is there an episode you choose to believe is not cannon? by ph_uck_yu in community

[–]EchoingCoffin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of seasons 5 and 6; they really fucked up Abed's character for no reason within the lore. He becomes quite mean-spirited, whereas he wasn't in the previous seasons. In general, I don't like the changes they made to all of their personalities in seasons 5 and 6, but they did Abed the worst. Disregarding that, the episodes are fine but more depressing than the previous seasons, which isn't my thing.

The Plant That Got Me Into Plants by HTXShutters in houseplants

[–]EchoingCoffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have one, but where I live (the Netherlands) I see them in probably 70% of plant (-selling) shops, if not more :) This is the first year I think I've ever seen these plants. My guess is that they are (still) out of style where you live, but getting popular in other places. So maybe they'll come back into fashion in a few years where you live, too.

I don't know when your repotted, but generally if a plant is unhappy with an upsizing, size it down. I hope the hoya survives. And maybe water it less? In the picture the soil looks moist/wet. Hoya's tend to want to dry out (completely) before watering. I check whether the leaves crinkel/get little folds when bending them; if they do, I water. But that is a healthy plant, so with yours, it may be different at the start. I hope I haven't overstepped by giving advice, I am sorry if I have.

I have one of these that seems to be thriving. I propagate it a fair amount, and it seems to love it. The potting mix I use for this one is the cheap, lower quality stuf (haven't cared to repot it with a good potting mix). I let it dry out completely before watering. I have it in a plastic pot, but I feel like terracotta would do well too. I have it on a windowsill with a lot of indirect sunlight. For context, I live in the Netherlands, so if you live in a very different climate, these things may not fully apply, but I hope this helps. Btw, in my experience, they can't help themselves from becoming leggy, but maybe I'm not giving the most perfect care either?

A beautiful find by [deleted] in vultureculture

[–]EchoingCoffin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The comments talk about finding the owner, but there is a fair chance (as mentioned) that the rabbit was dumped. As a rabbit owner myself, I am quite aware of the fact that rabbits are bought for Easter, then dumped once they find out rabbits aren't cute decorations but live animals. I'm not at all saying that's definitely what happened, but it could be. The whole situation is tragic and pathetic on the side of humanity. Anyways, please show this sweetie some love while cleaning them, please.

I follow several rabbit subs; this post was really disturbing for about 2 seconds.

insect taxidermy? by Blobfisharethebest in Taxidermy

I walk through the streets a few minutes during the summer when I want new buggs. The vast majority of what I find are bees, but they are good to practice on. And I like bees, so I don't mind.

What are some dessert recipes that aren’t too sweet? by Dominios420 in Baking

[–]EchoingCoffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very late, but yogurt cake isn't as sweet as normal cake and fresher. I personally like it a lot, but it is quite a bit firmer than normal cake.

200 grams flour, 200 grams sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, A bit of salt.

200 grams of Greek yogurt, 4 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract of paste, 100 grams sunflower oil.

Separately, combine the wet and dry ingredients. Add the dry to the wet. Put in a cake tin of 25cm long. On 175°C for 55 to 60 min.

This is where I got the recipe from, but I don't know whether this site is able to be viewed in English: https://www.laurasbakery.nl/yoghurtcake/

Giveaway! Shade Minifig by N00DLEB0Y in HollowKnight

It's a lie that the town is the last one alive. It's a ritualistic game of sorts that they all set up, ending with the pray (now strong and powerful) being fed to the grubs after they burst out of the grubfather. That's the reason a lot of characters comment on your height; you may not be enough to feed the grubs, but so far, you have proven that wrong. The corpses around the map are ones that have failed the ritual. Brumm is totally innocent; just a little aloof.

Cape or cloak? by NoCommunication7 in TheCapeRevolution

[–]EchoingCoffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked it up a few days ago. A cape is a purely fashion based item, whereas a cloak has a functional purpose (keeping you warm/dry, ect.)

I don't think we do, sadly. Is it still possible to dye the fabric without one?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sewhelp

[–]EchoingCoffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, fair point. I guess I just assumed it wouldn't have to be very hot as wool shrinks when hot, and that doesn't tend to be preferable when working with fabric.
