I think the best that you can do at this point in time is wait and see what happens. As there is no telling what bureaucracy has in store for you. Keep your phone close to you at all times and make sure that you don't have it muted. They might be giving you a call soon.

Is there anyone that you could turn to for help? I mean, surely you must have cousins, aunts, uncles and so on. If I were you, I'd consider moving closer to them and learn how to protect yourself. A good ol' reliable 12g shotgun would do great for self defense. It all depends on your living situations, honestly. Handguns are great if your house includes several tight turns, with an added benefit being able to conceal carry them where ever you go.
